House Sitting in Cardiff-by-the-Sea

We had Analisa watch our high anxiety and high energy Irish Setter for the first time recently and she did an amazing job! She was on time to our Meet and Greet and did an excellent and clear job explaining how she cares for dogs she watches and what her expectations are. I was super busy and didn’t follow up often before the actual date, yet Analisa initiated the conversation before our set dates, promptly asking the right questions. During our trip she took such wonderful care of our dog— kept him happy, played lots, made sure he ate normal amounts and generally had low stress levels. She sent pictures and updates at an ideal cadence. We will definitely ask Analisa to watch our dog again. We highly recommend her!!

Kimberly stayed at our house with our cat for 5 days and was AMAZING! Very responsive, we got tons of pictures, and our cat loved her so much that she has been sleeping in the guest bedroom where Kimberly stayed instead of her usual spots, haha. Will definitely have Kimberly cat sit again for us. Thank you, Kimberly!

Beckie was great! She was always responsive and proactive about giving us updates throughout the weekend. We look forward to booking Beckie again for our next trip!

Casey was absolutely fantastic! She is the definition of going above and beyond. This was our first time using Rover, and I was slightly nervous, but once Casey came over for a meet and greet with the pets and I felt at ease. She sent lots of photo and video updates, and I could tell she treated my pets as she would her own. She even cleaned the house while we were gone! If you are nervous booking with Rover at all, book with Casey and you won’t be. We will be booking Casey again, our pets loved her!

We immediately felt comfortable when we met Emma. She is everything and more you could ask for in a dog sitter. She went above and beyond to make our doggies feel loved and taken care of. She was easy to communicate with, provided regular updates and even pictures! We highly recommend Emma and hope she will come stay with our doggies again another time.

We had a great experience with Pierce, and we can't wait to use her again for our dog Driggs! This was only our second time using Rover (and the first time booking someone to stay at our house), and while we were nervous to leave our pup, it couldn't have gone better. Pierce followed our instructions to a T, including instructions to administer Driggs's antibiotic. Driggs is a young pup with lots of energy, and Pierce handled his energy perfectly with walks and lots of playtime! She sent frequent photos and videos throughout the day to put our minds at ease that Driggs was happy and healhty. When we got home, the house was clean, dishes were washed, and Pierce sent a long summary of how the day went. Can't recommend her enough!

This was our first time having Marie stay with our cats. My boy cat is very shy and challenging and she had so much patience. She put so much effort into trying to reassure him. They have a somewhat complex feeding schedule and she managed it perfectly. She sent me frequent updates which made me more comfortable. First time leaving them in a long time so I was nervous.

Elina was such a great dogsitter/house-sitter! She arrived ready to handle our two rescue dogs and did it with ease. Elina is very communicative, sends regular updates, great with our cautious/skittish pups, and is an all around great person! Would absolutely rebook!

I can't thank Tara enough for watching our fur babies while we were gone, out of the country getting married! I was already stressed as it was, and knowing that Tara was watching our babies was one ting I didn't have to worry about. She let us FaceTime with them and kept us updated every day. Thank you so much Tara!!

Jordan was awesome! She watched my goldendoodle for the weekend and took really great care of my pup by taking him to the park, long walks and giving him love. She sent plenty of pictures. She was respectful, and kept the house clean. I’ll definitely rebook with her in the near future.

Victoria, I loved getting all the updates and fun photos of Stella! I know you two bonded, and she had a great time with you! I also appreciate how clean the house was when we returned! You really made it pleasant for us to go on vacation with ease. Thank you! We will book you in the future for sure!

I had John at my house as a sitter for the first time for 6 days. He was very detailed with communications about how my girl Claire was doing, with videos. This was despite him being ill during his residence. He stuck with it, and made a good recovery with a mistake. My return home was left as I expected it. I have no hesitation with recommending John for house sitting with your pup, and I would ask for his service in the future.

We are so incredibly pleased with Jeff and Linda! Right from the beginning they were on the phone being proactive about the oppurtunity to sit for our dog. That caught my eye right away and knew it would be a great fit after talking with them. They came a night before the stay to get situated and meet our "little" friend! I use the term little loosely! Our dog is a 70 lb pitbull that looks mean but as Jeff and Linda learned is a sweetheart! I could tell they fell in love with him! Who wouldn't really! They kept in contact with is constantly, sent us pictures, emailed and sent texts. They met all our neighbors and even took our dog to play with his neighbor furry friend a few times during the stay! Our neighbors could even see how attached they were to our dog, how much they cared for him and how concerned they were for him! We came home to a happy dog, a clean house, sheets done, even the land mines out in the backyard picked up after the week long stay! They were just amazing! The next time we need someone they WILL be the first people we call to see if they are available! I cannot say one negative thing about them! Book with Jeff and Linda!!

Talia was an absolute god send for me this week after my dog was attacked during another Rovers stay and they didn’t feel comfortable staying the entire stay until I got home. She was able to fill in and take great great care of my pup while she healed until I was able to return. A million thank yous!!!
