House Sitting in Sacramento

We were totally pleased with the care and attention that Natalie gave our pets. She was conscientious and loving and I could tell from our initial meeting that she would be receptive to any requests or suggestions I gave her. I highly recommend her and we look forward to her next pet sitting in our home.

Our pets (2 cats, 1 dog) had another amazing stay with Holly! She’s so communicative and shares wonderful pictures where you can just tell that our pets are happy, loved, and at ease while we’re away. Thank you, Holly!

Joel looked after Loki for a month while we were overseas. As always, he did a great job. Loki was happy, relaxed and well cared for. Joel sent us regular photo and video updates, which is so important to us. We worry if we don't see Loki every couple of days! Our home was clean and tidy on our return. We had a tortuous time flying home, canceled and delayed flights, so we were home later than expected, Joel was great, he stayed on until we arrived home, we were so grateful for his flexibility. It was very late when we arrived home, Joel remained calm and professional. He comes to stay with Loki again next month!

It was my daughter's wedding and all our usual cat sitters were attending, so I was in a bit of a panic trying to find someone we could trust on short notice. I was very anxious about having a stranger in our home, especially since our cat is truly part of our family, but I am so glad we found Sabrina through Rover. She went above and beyond to make us feel at ease, sending regular updates, photos, and videos throughout the weekend. It made such a difference knowing our cat was in caring hands, and her thoughtful communication helped me relax and actually enjoy the wedding! Our cat can be particular, but she warmed up quickly to Sabrina, which speaks volumes. We came home to a happy, well-cared-for kitty and a tidy home. You could not ask for a more responsible, thoughtful, responsive sitter. Our 15 year old chihuahua was very medically complicated, and Dustin gave Bingo everything he needed, whenever he needed it. We were away, when Bingo experienced a signficant setback requiring a lot of coordinated end of life decisions. Dustin worked with our vet, and helped keep Bingo calm, safe and cared for until we could be home to usher him over the rainbow bridge. Veterinary staff were head to say "It doesn't get better than that."

Carolyn is an exceptional pet sitter. When she first came to meet us, it was clear she underrtood our dogs’ behavior and personalities. One of our dogs had recently had a leg amputated, and we were nervous about leaving him for an extended vacation. But Carolyn’s knowledge and experience, along with her comfort with special needs dogs, put us at ease. While we were away, she sent us daily updates with photos and videos, which showed that the dogs were healthy and happy under her care. Carolyn was conscientious about taking care of the house as well as the dogs, and it was spotless and neat when we got home. She even surprised us by giving both of our dogs a bath, so both they and the house smelled great. We are grateful to have found Carolyn and look forward to having her watch our boys again in the future.

Brenna watches my dog practically every time I travel because I know she’ll take such good care of Mae, communicate with me, and she takes care of the apartment. I’m so glad we found Brenna when we moved to Sacramento and thankful she loves Mae so much!!

I couldn’t ask for a better, more qualified person to watch Moxie. Mel takes great care of her, despite Moxie’s behavioral challenges. She sends texts to let me know all is going well. Plus, the house is always clean when I come home. Thank you, Mel!!

Cheyenne was very communicative and I felt good leaving her with my baby while we were out of town! Would definitely have her again.

We had a dog sitter in our home for the very first time, and at first we were a bit nervous about it. However, Janessa quickly put all our doubts at ease. She took wonderful care of both our dogs as well as our home. We couldn’t be happier with the experience and would gladly have her back anytime.

Anthony was great to work with. He was a proactive communicator and was great staying with our puppy while we were out of town. Will definitely use him again.

Sharon was a great sitter to our two fur babies! She also house sit while we were gone, giving my husband and I ease while we were away. Sharon was great communicating and sending us pictures while we were gone. This was our first time using Rover and thanks to Sharon for making our first experience a good one. We definitely will be booking Sharon again.

Christina was very professional, attentive and kind to our pets while we were away. She was so neat and tidy it didn’t appear she was even in the house. We have 2 cats and 2 dogs including a puppy and she was awesome! Highly recommend!!

Danni was great with our two huskies! Another sitter canceled last-minute due to an emergency, but we are honestly so happy that we found Danni. She very quickly scheduled a meet and greet, during which she asked very thoughtful questions about caring for our dogs and home. Despite the panic of the last-minute cancellation from our other sitter, we felt so comfortable with having Danni take care of our dogs! She kept us updated throughout our trip and left our home spotless. Most importantly, it was obvious that Danni has exceptional experience with reading dog body language, as one of our huskies is very leash-reactive and Danni handled her like a pro (no issues)! We’d definitely book with Danni again!

Jacob is the absolute best. Every time he goes above and beyond. What a blessing he has been to us and the care for our senior pup who needs medications. He’s an excellent communicator and sends detailed updates often so you are always informed. We always book with Jacob because he’s truly the best sitter ever!
