House Sitting in Sleepy Hollow

We have had many great pet sitters on Rover, but Kathryn may be the best. She is caring, conscientious, professional and a great communicator. We highly recommend her!

Ari was great with Satchmo. Satchmo can be timid and sometimes he can be anxious but he was happy and calm when we got home. I’d definitely recommend Ari - especially for those who might have sensitive animals.

Martha did a wonderful job taking care of our dog at our house while we were away. She is a great communicator and our house was spotless when we get back. We feel very lucky to have found her!

Nate was wonderful! He is a great communicator, was diligent and attentive to all of my kitty's special needs, and he gave me frequent updates and pics, which I really appreciated. He was happy to learn the new skill of injecting insulin, and learned quickly. Best of all, my cat really liked him, took to him immediately, and was happy, calm and content when I got home, as if I had never left. It was a joy to have Nate petsit for me and I will rebook him at any time.

Kora is great and I would definitely hire her again. My dog, who is skittish around new people took to her right away. On returning, I found my dog happy and healthy and my house in good condition. Kora even left me some hot sauce from Sol Food, my favorite!

This was the first time we'd ever hired a pet/house-sitter for an extended vacation and I don't know if we'll ever go back to double-boarding our cat and dog. We scored the jackpot with Jodi! From the very first meet and greet with Jodi, I felt all the warm and fuzzy vibes you want when you're thinking of leaving pets behind in anyone's care. She sent us a detailed questionnaire so she could be in tune with all the pet routines. And she arrived as promised the day we flew out and left shortly before we got home and the house was cleaner than when we'd left it! We could tell the pets had been really loved and cared for. They were totally at ease and not stressed (the opposite of how they are after boarding at outside facilities). Jodi also sent the perfect amount of updates. Some of them were so funny (she had our pets' numbers from the get go) that I read them to my young kiddos who also got a kick out of them. Our cat is very feisty and she gave him the space he needed to adjust, which was super kind and thoughtful. She also dealt with a surprise visit from our landlords like a champ! We cannot say enough good things about Jodi and we would absolutely want her to be our vacation pet whisperer again!!! Thank you Jodi! And our pets say meow and woof, too!!!

Amber was great! This was our first time using Rover for house sitting so we wanted to meet her first, which she happily obliged to do. Once we met her we felt very comfortable leaving Fofinha with her at the house. She sent us pictures and updates while we were away, checked in with us and overall communication was excellent!! We will definitely book with Amber the next time we need a sitter!!

Jody was terrific - communicative, loving with my dogs and kept the house very clean. Will def hire again!

Krystle is the best

Leonard is a responsible and loving caregiver to our two dogs. We know this because the dogs are healthy and happy while we are away. He was very good about getting them exercised daily, sticking to a schedule and being present with them. We felt easy knowing that he was there for them and also caring for our home while we were away. He was so dog-gone good we booked him again and again.

Samantha is a wonderful person and dog sitter. She took care of our maltipoo who has some separation anxiety and when we got home our pup was clearly super comfortable with Samantha. Thanks to Samantha we really appreciate your care for our pup.

We thought Danillo was super great. Our dog wasn't even feeling great and he handled everything just perfectly. He asks good questions and checks in. He is very calm which we think was good for our older dog who also hates change! They did well together and our dog was fine when we got back...none of this after the experience craziness. Highly recommend this young man.
