Dog Boarding in Tamalpais-Homestead Valley

Wonderful hospitality, regular updates/pictures of my 15yo dog while traveling. Will *definitely* prioritize reserving future stays with Heather :)

Larissa was so great. This was an urgent last minute booking. I had a meeting out of town and my little one needed special care because he had recently had surgery. He couldn’t run, be around other dogs or jump on the furniture. Larissa said “ sure, no problem “! I was nervous because I was leaving him with someone I didn’t know. She was friendly and kind and he took to her immediately. She sent me photos which helped ease my anxiety. I will be definitely rebooking with Larissa!!!

Emily was very warm and friendly and I knew my dog would be in good hands while I was away for the day. She sent me pictures and a video of my dogs stay with her. I was able to relax and enjoy myself, knowing that my dog was in good hands.

Will absolutely be booking with Monica again! Felt completely comfortable with Eleanor in her care - sent daily photos on hikes with her and her sweet lab, was always positive and communicative, and when timing was tricky for drop off - she went above and beyond by picking her up directly from home. Thank you again Monica!!

Tom and his wife too wonderful care of my dog. They loved her like their own. I was able to enjoy my time away knowing she was being well taken care of and loved.

Maiara was fantastic with our havanese. She sent pictures throughout the stay and our dog was so happy. She is very responsive and I would trust her to care for our dog again .

Crystal and her daughter are the best! My dog has found a home away from home. Crystal keeps you updated with wonderful texts and photos, and she went out of her way to make the week she watched my boy easy for me during a very busy time… even picking up my dog and dropping him back off at the end of the week. This is my second time booking with Crystal, and she will always be my go-to dog sitter! Thank you for taking the best care of my sweet boy, Crystal!

Lei was so patient, attentive, and kind to our Gus! He got to enjoy multiple walks a day with his new friends, exploring the beautiful area close to her home. He got to snuggle down on cozy dog beds and was spoiled rotten. We were also spoiled with regular updates and pictures of Gus having a blast. Thank you for providing such wonderful peace of mind!

Miriam (and Bebe) took fantastic care of my dog. They not only had a ton of fun, but Miriam went above and beyond when my dog scratched his eye. She was responsive, attentive, and loving to my dog when I couldn’t be!

We were new in town and so happy to have found Briana last minute! She responded so quickly and very professional. She was so kind and made us feel safe leaving our dog with her. She sent us pictures and updates. If we need another dog sitter soon, she is our first pick!

Kevin and Rosa took exceptional care of Bean during her overnight stay. She loved playing with their dog Banksy and enjoyed their spacious yard. Working with Kevin and Rosa was very smooth and they responded quickly to any questions. Bean and I look forward to using their home again many times in the future.

Odie is a HANDFUL and they were great with him. Lots of walks, sent pictures, communicative and easy going. Odie seemed very happy when I picked him up. I’ll definitely use them again for my crazy dog 🙃

Cheyenne is truly remarkable. I'm impressed by her attention to detail while looking after my baby girl. Whether it's just for a day or an extended period, I have great confidence that my pup is not only well-cared for but also enjoys various adventures, training, and cozy moments.

At Sams’s suggestion we tried an 24-hour stay for Ronny in advance of an upcoming week-long trip. I am so glad we did that, as I needed to retrieve Ronny early! Ronny is 6-months old, and unfortunately he wanted to puppy play – all the time – with the older resident dog (9), who started patiently but clearly didn’t want any puppy nonsense. After about 30-40 minutes watching their interaction, I left Sam's house feeling OK about the overnight stay, thinking all would be well after Ronny had settled down a little. However, I heard later that the more Ronny was rejected, the more he tried, resorting to barking in the older dog’s face. Poor Sam had to separate the two dogs in different rooms to get any peace, but Ronny was agitated overnight, possibly confused about the other dog and still wanting to play. Sam reported that on solo walks, he was sweet and friendly to people and other dogs. On top of this, Ronny was temporarily suffering from diarrhea and had an accident inside the house. I think the diarrhea was from having eaten an unknown amount of kibble after tearing into a fresh bag of dog-food a day or so before his overnight. From what I saw of Sam and her place, I’d highly recommend her, she clearly cares for dogs, and has a safe space for dogs - the resident dog is mellow and I would imagine gets along with most dogs. A shame it did not work out.
