My cat is afraid of people he doesn't know and hides under the bed covers when anyone but us is in the house. Knowing this, Jennifer spent time every visit talking to him and reading him stories (seriously!). The cat appreciated this and realized he had a new friend. He started greeting Jennifer at the door, he played with her, and he accepted petting with purrs! Great communication on Jennifer's part with every visit, and I am relieved and happy that I now have a sitter I can trust, and that my cat trusts her, too.
