Dog Boarding in Barrington Hills

I was so nervous leaving Sweetness for the first time and Sarah was so great at dealing with my first-time-leaving-her crazy. Sweetness came home tired and happy from days playing outside. I had nothing to worry about!

Leaving our puppy with Liz was amazing! She is a dog expert and has saved so many of them. Our puppy went on her own vacation and came back so tired from playing with other dogs, it helped having her sleep while we unpacked at home. Absolutely booking again and can't even express how awesome Liz took care of our puppy Dory.

I am so fortunate I found June on Rover. We needed a sitter who will look after Knight for 6 nights. We like that Knight will be able to be on the sofa and sleep on the bed just like home. And Knight even gets to play with June's dog, Cookie! June is very responsive to my questions leading up to our trip. During our trip, she gave daily updates on Knight and sent pictures. There was never a time that I was concerned about Knight's well-being. Will definitely rebook with her again. Thanks, June!

Jackie’s home was the first overnight stay for Cukes. Jackie was very communicative, sending updates, pics and asking questions. As a young rescue pup I’m still learning about my pups behavior and working on social skills. Jackie was a pro, shared feedback on his behavior and some challenges and sent him home clean after some anxious accidents. Jackie’s home is perfect for pups that are very comfortable with other pups, new people, new spaces and kiddos!

We always know that Sparky is in the best of hands with Christine. Sparky feels completely at home there. She is also very accommodating, We were running late to pick up Sparky and she was very understanding. We would highly recommend Christine.

My pup had the best time at Colleen’s! She sent loads of pics and updates. Her dog was the sweetest and played really nice with my pup. They even celebrated my pup’s birthday with Frosty Paws and a “Happy Birthday” sign. I felt so comfortable while I was away and will absolutely use her again if she’ll have us.

Dar and her family took great care of our dog. I say family because they were all involved. Mary (our dog) received so much attention. She also player with Dar’s dog Dakota. Highly recommend Dar to anyone looking for a home away from home for their dog.

Loved Michelle and family. She was super attentive, sent lots of pictures and ton of updates!! She was great!!! Thanks again and we will call you the next time we need love for our babies when we go away.

Always a relief knowing that Pippy is with people that have the utmost patience with her anxiety quirks and energy. They throw toys and love for Pippy every time.

Jessica was absolutely amazing!!!! This was my first time EVER leaving my pet with a sitter (outside of family) and I recommend Jessica 1000%. She was so considerate of my dog’s sensitivity and her needs, ensuring a plan was in place during Shailey’s stay. She even made sure you get updates on your pet so you can know their okay. It truly put me at ease the entire time I was away! I even needed to extend the stay for another day and Jessica was so accommodating. I appreciated her service so much and Shailey truly felt at home with Jessica and her family! I can’t wait until the next time and will for sure book again. We boarded our pups with Laura when we went out of town and could not have been happier! Laura had stellar communication and made sure to follow the care instructions we left exactly as described and asked us about additional preferences— which showed a great care got detail that we appreciated. Laura sent us photo updates every day, and our dogs looked like you were having a blast in every one. So great to know that we can rest easy while traveling knowing our babies are being so well taken care of!

I am so grateful for Derek and his family for taking such good care of Bear! He was kind enough to let us come over prior to our vacation to meet him and his family, including his sweet dog, Ellie. That made me feel so comfortable, as I was a first time Rover client. Derek sent me photos and gave me an update every day that we were gone, and I see that Bear was happy and being well cared for. Thank you so much Derek for making our first visit so wonderful! I highly recommend Derek to anyone looking for a kind, caring family for your dog while you are away from them.

Mike was a wonderful sitter for our energetic and loveable doodle while we were away for 3 weeks! He provided multiple updates and pictures every day letting us know how he was doing. He and his wife treated our dog just like their own, showing lots of love and care for him!

Judith was great with our nervous rescue, Luna. She was very communicative and sent lots of pictures. Luna had a great time and we can’t wait to use Judith again soon!

She took the time to understand my dog's needs, quirks, and preferences, which immediately put me at ease. During the time I was away, Carolyn went above and beyond. I received daily updates, complete with adorable pictures, which reassured me that my dog was not only safe but happy and well-loved. It was clear that she took great joy in playing with, walking, and cuddling my dog, ensuring a fun and comfortable stay. What really stood out was the extra care taken to maintain my dog’s routine. Carolyn was diligent about feeding times, exercise, and any special instructions I had given, showing genuine dedication. I Would HIGHLY recommend Carolyn to anyone looking for a sitter.

Carlos had another wonderful stay with Boris. He was responsive, sent tons of pictures and videos, and his dog, Bella played so nicely with Carlos. So appreciative of Boris!

We recently boarded our dog with Michelle and Robert for the first time. Our dog doesn’t do well in a kennel, so we were thrilled to find that they were willing to host our dog in their home. We picked him up yesterday from their house and he came home perfectly happy! He usually comes home exhausted and anxious from a kennel. They were so sweet to text pictures and updates of how our dog was doing while we were away, so it was really nice to be assured that he was doing well. Would definitely recommend using them!

Tina was my dog-sitter for 9.5 days. Gabby is a rescue dog that I’ve had for under a year, and she has been extremely spoiled. I had lots of instructions that many would consider “over the top” ( # of walks/day, food toppers, adding chicken to her meals, her special blanket, etc…).Tina made me feel that this was “normal”, not to worry, and she would have no problem following through with any of this. She sent videos and pictures which made me feel at ease. During our initial meet and greet, I had to really coax my dog back into the car, which made it easier for me to leave her without worry. I would recommend Tina as a dog-sitter who cares and will treat your dog as her own. Definitely thumbs-up!
