Dog Boarding in Port Barrington

I was so nervous leaving Sweetness for the first time and Sarah was so great at dealing with my first-time-leaving-her crazy. Sweetness came home tired and happy from days playing outside. I had nothing to worry about!

I am so fortunate I found June on Rover. We needed a sitter who will look after Knight for 6 nights. We like that Knight will be able to be on the sofa and sleep on the bed just like home. And Knight even gets to play with June's dog, Cookie! June is very responsive to my questions leading up to our trip. During our trip, she gave daily updates on Knight and sent pictures. There was never a time that I was concerned about Knight's well-being. Will definitely rebook with her again. Thanks, June!

I am beyond thrilled with the exceptional care and attention my dog received from Carolyn! From the first meet-and-greet, it was clear that Carolyn is not only professional but also truly passionate about animals. She took the time to understand my dog's needs, quirks, and preferences, which immediately put me at ease. During the time I was away, Carolyn went above and beyond. I received daily updates, complete with adorable pictures, which reassured me that my dog was not only safe but happy and well-loved. It was clear that she took great joy in playing with, walking, and cuddling my dog, ensuring a fun and comfortable stay. What really stood out was the extra care taken to maintain my dog’s routine. Carolyn was diligent about feeding times, exercise, and any special instructions I had given, showing genuine dedication. I Would HIGHLY recommend Carolyn to anyone looking for a sitter.

Jessica was absolutely amazing!!!! This was my first time EVER leaving my pet with a sitter (outside of family) and I recommend Jessica 1000%. She was so considerate of my dog’s sensitivity and her needs, ensuring a plan was in place during Shailey’s stay. She even made sure you get updates on your pet so you can know their okay. It truly put me at ease the entire time I was away! I even needed to extend the stay for another day and Jessica was so accommodating. I appreciated her service so much and Shailey truly felt at home with Jessica and her family! I can’t wait until the next time and will for sure book again. Leaving our puppy with Liz was amazing! She is a dog expert and has saved so many of them. Our puppy went on her own vacation and came back so tired from playing with other dogs, it helped having her sleep while we unpacked at home. Absolutely booking again and can't even express how awesome Liz took care of our puppy Dory.

We always know that Sparky is in the best of hands with Christine. Sparky feels completely at home there. She is also very accommodating, We were running late to pick up Sparky and she was very understanding. We would highly recommend Christine.

Kim was fantastic in every way. Great communication great attention to my pop, and probably more pictures sent to me than I’ve ever had before.

John was great! He has a wonderful large yard and it is clear that he has put great thought and effort to how he takes care of your canine friend. It is a wonderful to know that your dog is happy while you are gone. Warm people that truly care about your dog. So many pictures, videos and great communication. We will definitely use him again.

Jackie’s home was the first overnight stay for Cukes. Jackie was very communicative, sending updates, pics and asking questions. As a young rescue pup I’m still learning about my pups behavior and working on social skills. Jackie was a pro, shared feedback on his behavior and some challenges and sent him home clean after some anxious accidents. Jackie’s home is perfect for pups that are very comfortable with other pups, new people, new spaces and kiddos!

I am so grateful for Derek and his family for taking such good care of Bear! He was kind enough to let us come over prior to our vacation to meet him and his family, including his sweet dog, Ellie. That made me feel so comfortable, as I was a first time Rover client. Derek sent me photos and gave me an update every day that we were gone, and I see that Bear was happy and being well cared for. Thank you so much Derek for making our first visit so wonderful! I highly recommend Derek to anyone looking for a kind, caring family for your dog while you are away from them.

Our doggies absolutely love going to Stella’s house! Sometimes I think they don’t want to leave! They are treated like family and extremely well taken care of. My husband and I know our doggies will be loved and taken care of while at Stella’s

Rebecca was awesome and watched my pup for the entire weekend, despite being such short notice and having reached out and booked the same day! I needed to extend my stay and she was so kind and willing. And my pup finished all the dog food I packed, so she generously let him eat her own dog’s food (after kindly checking with me)! She even took him to the dog park on a doggie play date with some other pups (also after checking with me first!)! Overall a lovely woman and dog-host that was extremely accommodating and had great communication throughout.

Debbie always takes such great care of our Penny, sending us photos and keeping us updated. On our last trip, our flight was unexpectedly canceled and we had to drive home, which extended Penny's stay by two days. When we contacted Debbie at the last minute to ask if Penny could stay longer she immediately said yes and told us not to worry. Her flexibility and compassion gave us total peace of mind. We highly recommend Debbie--she's awesome!

Melody was amazing! She took great care of my dog Sophie while I was out of town. She was very active with my dog and took plenty of pictures to show me how much fun they had I will definitely be using her again!

Judith was great with our nervous rescue, Luna. She was very communicative and sent lots of pictures. Luna had a great time and we can’t wait to use Judith again soon!

Mike was a wonderful sitter for our energetic and loveable doodle while we were away for 3 weeks! He provided multiple updates and pictures every day letting us know how he was doing. He and his wife treated our dog just like their own, showing lots of love and care for him!

There should be more than 5 stars for this review!! Angela took care of our Zoe while she was recovering from a minor surgery. Zoe wasn’t the greatest patient, she kept picking at her bandage but Angela was ahead of the game and really did an amazing job taking care of her. She also administered her meds. Honestly, we were so thankful for her!

Always a relief knowing that Pippy is with people that have the utmost patience with her anxiety quirks and energy. They throw toys and love for Pippy every time.

Rebecca is the best! She is so kind and treated my fur baby well while I was gone for over a week. She kept me updated daily and sent pictures to help ease my anxiety. Theo loved staying with her and playing with her dog, Daisy, who is so cute! I highly recommend her!
