House Sitting in Castine

Glendon did a pet sit in our home for our two small dogs and one cat, and he was great. It's clear he's an animal lover, and also very professional. He was very thorough in preparing for the stay, and was careful to learn about and accommodate the needs and routine of our pets. He's super communicative, giving many updates, and sending videos and pics, just the right amount for us to be sure the fur kids were doing well. Just before we were scheduled to leave, tropical storm Lee threw a monkey wrench in our plans - a tree fell and wires were down blocking our driveway - no electricity! Glendon was really helpful, brainstorming alternatives in case the house-sit couldn't work out. Fortunately the power company got in at the 11th hour and fixed things, allowing everything to go as originally planned. But it's awesome that he was willing to be flexible and find a way to make it work. Highly recommended.

Laura is such an animal lover! She and Desmond bonded immediately. She is very responsive and texted us every day with updates and pictures. We felt so comfortable knowing she was at our house watching our dog. We will book her again FOR SURE!

Alison was a wonderful pet sitter. She daily kept me informed and provided photos. My home was kept in wonderful condition . My only hesitation in recommending is she’ll become so popular she won’t be available when I need her next!! I highly recommend Alison as a pet/house sitter. I will be using her in the future . Jazlynne was great! She asked questions about the pups to make sure she knew their routines and quirks. She sent lots of photos and seemed to really care for our pups. The house was clean and pups were happy when we got home. Would definitely use her again!

Sydney was great! Our dog clearly enjoyed her company. She sent a lot of pictures/updates and did not hold back with questions (our dog has some quirks/a big personality). Thank you so much!!

Addison was amazing!!! She took such good care of our older, timid boy. Our plane was late and she made an extra trip back just to make sure that he got fed. She is kind, courteous and left our house neat as a pin. We plan on using her for all our future trips.

When it came time for us to leave our sweet little Davey boy at home for nearly two weeks to visit family out of state we turned to Rover and found Jill. We did a meet and greet prior to leaving and instantly my apprehension was put aside. Jill has the magic touch, our little guy gravitated to her right away and she nearly out him to sleep standing up with some masterful ear rubs. Almost immediately upon leaving we were receiving picture and video updates of one very happy dog. Hill was so communicative and clearly loves the dogs in her care. They went for long walks and she stayed at our house so that Dave could be in his own environment. She kept the updates coming the whole time we were away and it did our hearts so much good to see he was having a fun, totally relaxed, time with his newest pal in his own house. We of course missed him terribly but Jill did all the right things to allay the nerves or even the most neurotic new dog parents. We returned to a happy, healthy, much loved little dog, who looked like he had a good brushing recently and the house was immaculate. A kind note on the counter and a wagging tail- what more could one ask for from a dog sitter. Jill is a genuine , kind , responsible and communicative person who obviously loves dogs with her whole heart and understands how much they mean to their owners. Jill will be out first choice in dog sitters from here on out and we truly cannot recommend her enough. If you want to go away and feel like your dog is in the best possible loving care- Jill is the dog sitter for you !

Tiana was so caring and competent with our two dogs. One of our dogs can sometimes act in challenging ways, but Tiana was patient and kind and gained his trust. She left our house cleaner than when she arrived even emptying the ashes from the wood stove. Tiana kept in contact with us and we would certainly use her again.

Bohni did a great job with my two Great Pyrenees , who are not the easiest of dogs to work with. No problems at all!
