Dog Boarding in Lake Michigan Beach

My doggies had the best time at Clara’s! I have pretty anxious dogs, one being more hesitant with strangers than the other and they fit right in. I know it’s thanks to the accommodations and great care Clara has set. Highest of recommendations and will continue to bring my dogs back for as long as she’ll have us!

Will use Bradley again. Great service. Lots of updates on how she was doing. Felt like she was part of his dog family. He did it on her terms not his. Very loving and caring. Left me feeling that she was safe and well cared for so that I could have an amazing time with family and friends with no worries. Thank you so much Bradley.

Jenny was amazing with Bolt. She is kind and has a calming presence in her. She was also able to identify that Bolt had a dark urine (that I hadn’t seen because I let him go in the yard & don’t look). I took him to the vet & he was dehydrated & had a bacterial infection. Thank you so much Jenny!!

Way overdue for this review, but wanted to be sure people were aware of how great a sitter Michaelynn is! We left our 2 dogs with her and when we picked them up, Michaelynn mention our corgi wasn’t eating. That’s very strange for our dog! Well, we found out immediately afterwards that he became diabetic. Michaelynn’s conscientiousness is to be applauded! We will plan to board our dogs with her again, once we start travel this summer. Her place is adored by our dogs, and she’s obviously a great sitter.

Madison was wonderful. This was my first time boarding my dog and her thoughtfulness really put me at ease. I appreciated that she sent regular updates about how my dog was doing. I have zero hesitation about Madison watching my dog in the future.

Amber took great care of my dog! She had lots of play time and was happy and tired when I picked her up. Amber was also great at communicating for pick-up and drop-off. Highly recommend!

Olivia was absolutely amazing with our puppy. She was very responsive and sent pictures of him throughout his stay with her. We picked him up smelling better than ever and with the best pawdicure ever. She really took great care of him and would book with her again in a heartbeat.

Jan made sure that Duffy, our 14 lb border terrier was well-cared for and got the exercise that he needed in her clean, pleasant, lakeside home. We received She photos and texts throughout the week to let us know how he was doing. I would use Jan's services again.

Alicia is kind and a great communicator, and best of all, a complete natural with pets. Scout liked her right away. She was super thorough and thoughtful in how she introduced Scout to all her dogs and the other dogs staying with her, and gave us lots of updates during his boarding to put our mind at ease (we have a sometimes-anxious pup). Thanks again Alicia and Brad!

I wish I could give 100 stars cause Kari is literally the best! My boys absolutely LOVE her and her family. This is my first time using Rover for my 2 boys and I'm so happy. She is so accommodating, very down to earth, very willing to help, and very nice!! I totally reccomend her to everyone. I will DEFINITELY be back!!

Danielle was so welcoming and accommodating!! You can tell she really cares for animals and took great care of our two dogs:) sent pictures and kept communication throughout. Definitely would book again!

Janelle was amazing. I loved hearing how our pup was doing throughout our trip. He seemed happy and busy! We took toys and treats and all of his stuff but they had some fun new to our dog puzzles and the kids and neighbor dogs kept him entertained. It was our first trip away and our first time using Rover. We will for sure use Janelle again. 5 stars!!!!

Kimberly and her husband were great! Very communicative, friendly, and took amazing care of our puppy and three year old husky! They have a great fenced in backyard for the pups to run around in. We could tell they had a blast! Would definitely use Kimberly again if we're in the area!

Megan was absolutely amazing!! We needed a last-minute sitter for our 9 year old bichon since she doesn’t do as well in a typical kennel environment. Megan set up a meet and greet to make sure our dogs would get along, and they did! She sent frequent updates and photos while we were away, and then gave a quick overview of the stay when we picked up. She was very thoughtful in making sure she knew exactly what our little old lady needed during her stay. Definitely one of the best overnight dog sitting experiences we’ve had!!
