House Sitting in Sylva

Grey was amazing! Our usual sitter had a last minute conflict come up right before a trip. I had never used Rover before and was a little apprehensive, but immediately felt reassured by Grey’s initial correspondence which was super clear. We did a meet and greet before which Grey also made super easy for us, and it was really clear that he was asking great questions (things that made it clear he was a professional and that reassured this newbie who was feeling a little unsure right before a big trip). After the meeting I immediately felt a huge weight off my shoulders. We continued to stay in touch before the trip, Grey was proactive about checking in and accommodating about handoff process and schedule. He was great about sending updates while we were away and was so sweet about the antics of my furballs. I felt like my fur goblins and my place were in really good hands. He was great about hand off too and asked how I wanted to do it. I told him that it would be great if we could overlap but that I understood if he had appointments when we got back. He confirmed he would make sure to be here and give us a pretty healthy window. Our flight ended up being delayed 2 hours and he waited for us without hesitation. He was so great about our check back in - told us funny anecdotes about his time and made me feel like he truly cared about the well being of our pets and home. Honestly, I think the place was cleaner when I got back than when I left and it was super clear my babies had been taken care of. I would give him a million stars if I could. From one dog parent to another, I can 1000% recommend Grey.

Ginger is an incredibly kind, detail-oriented person who took wonderful care of my kitty, Obi. He is an older diabetic kitty who needs insulin injections and pills 2X a day. Finding someone who can do that is no small task. Ginger handled it all like the pro she is, but with more care than I even knew was possible. I am so grateful I have found someone who can care for and love on Obi while I am away. Oh, and my house was spotless upon my return. She took good care of my house, just like she cared for Obi! Thank you, Ginger!

I only gave 5 stars because I couldn't give 6! Ginni was responsive, showed up on time, and took great care of our two dogs. She sent pictures during her stay and both of our pups warmed up to her right away. She's a great sitter and we will definitely re-book with her the next time we need someone. And, icing on the cake, she even did a few dishes I left in the sink!! Thank you Ginni!

Brinkley was amazing! She texted me at least twice a day and would send me a picture of Jasper and include how he was doing that day. He is a senior dog and I really hated leaving him, but her texts and pictures let me know that he was doing great! I would highly recommend Brinkley!

Kary was kind and responsive. Immediately bonded with my dog. She did an overnight stay helping keep my dog company. Communicates often and very respectful. My dog was very happy. Highly recommend.

Dixie is the BEST sitter I've ever had. She stayed with my cat, Simon, for over a week, making sure his every need was met. She also kept me informed about Simon's well-being through texts, photos and videos. She even washed my sheets and towels so I would have less to deal with upon my return home. In short, she was not only a caring sitter but also took steps to make sure my return home would go smoothly, thereby allowing me to spend more time reconnecting with Simon. I will DEFINITELY use Dixie again.

Callie was amazing! She did a wonderful job taking care of our 3 dogs which can be a handful.

Maggie was super helpful & trustworthy with our big boy. I’d definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a house/dog sitter!!

Amanda was wonderful - accepting my dog when we were in town for a wedding- she was kind and flexible and I wasn’t worried about my dog during the wedding at all! Thank you, Amanda!

Danielle and Brodin not only cared for our dog Albus, but they went and picked him up from another Rover dogsitters house that didn’t work out, halfway thru my trip. They made me feel at ease even though I was on the other side of the country. There are not many people that would have made me feel so comfortable with my dog being sent to another home halfway through my trip. They sent me photos everyday and my dog came home happy and tired. Thank you again Danielle and Brodin!
