House Sitting in Virginia City

Kinan sat our cattle dog mix for 24 hours and will be coming back for a four-day sit in a few weeks. Our dog is highly anxious and untrusting of new people. Kinan was patient with him and wasn’t deterred by his barking and nipping. He understood the difference between anxiety and aggression. This is an important skill that we haven’t found in other pet sitters.

Samantha was wonderful and Lou clearly loved spending time with her. She was perfectly calm when we came home, and while she was happy to see us come home she was also sad that Samantha had to leave lol Samantha had great communication throughout the stay and a calm, gentle presence. We felt completely at ease knowing Lou was in such great hands and would happily book with her again! Thanks Samantha! :)

Tracie was great! She sent regular updates, and our dog and cats always seemed happy and comfortable with her.

I was hesitant to have someone new watch my aging Coco, but Brooke did an awesome job!! 👏🏻. She sent pix and made me feel comfortable leaving her. I would def use Brooke again!

Angie was amazing while we were out of town for thanksgiving! She took great care of our puppy and sent pictures and updates every day. It was our first long trip without him so knowing he was well taken care of was fantastic. Thank you Angie!

Rachel did an incredible job taking care of our three dogs and our home while we were away. She was attentive, responsible, and clearly has a natural way with animals. Dustin is an incredibly diligent and attentive sitter. We came home to a spotless house and a very happy puppy. We highly recommend him for overnight stays and would love for him to watch our little guy again!

I can’t say enough great things about Alice and Sabin! From the second I met them, they made me feel incredibly comfortable and they asked all the right questions. I have two dogs, one is a senior dog that is prone to having accidents in the house and I was very stressed that I wouldn’t find someone who would be willing to watch them. They made me feel so at ease, and were so kind and patient with him, even though it’s not a glamorous job. Alice sent updates and photos everyday and took such great care of them. I came back to the happiest dogs and a very clean house. I am so grateful to have met Alice and Sabin and cannot thank them enough for going above and beyond for me and my dogs!

We had an amazing experience with Tom as our dog sitter on Rover! From the start, he was incredibly thorough and professional—he scheduled an initial meet and greet to ensure he was a good fit, and then even set up a second visit to go over our dog’s routines and any house-related tasks like garbage, recycling, and plant care. Our dog, Rogue, is 10 years old and can be a bit difficult at times, but Tom handled her wonderfully. He made sure she got her two daily pills and took her on long walks, which she absolutely loved. He sent us daily updates with multiple pictures, which gave us great peace of mind while we were away. A neighbor even reached out to us while we were gone and said: "Just wanted to let you know—Rogue has been in good hands and has been a good girl (from what I’ve seen). I’ve seen the dog sitter taking her for walks and every time she looks so happy—big tail wags. Also haven’t heard her barking at all." Not only did he take great care of Rogue, but he also took excellent care of our home—we came back to a clean and well-maintained house. It’s clear that Tom is experienced, caring, and dedicated. We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter and will definitely be booking with him again! Highly recommend!

As an owner of a breed (Belgian Malinois) that comes with a little higher attention and demand, it was such a relief to find Jarrod! He was incredibly attentive to our instructions, and was great with sharing updates while we were away. He took care of her and our home like they were his own, and as a result I felt like I could relax and not worry while away. Highly recommend!
