Dog Boarding in Dover Plains

What a lovely home and family for our dog while we were away. From the meet and greet and all along the way it was clear that Janice and her family have a depth of experience with dogs and animals, in general. The home radiates warmth and joy.

Jen was great with Coco. We were driving up from out of state with our dogs and needed a spot for one of them to stay for a few days of the trip over Christmas and Jen worked out so well. She kept us updated with photos and what they were up to throughout her stay. She and her husband treated coco like she was their own dog and gave us peace of mind that she was in good hands. Jen let us come and get her to take her out for a few hours and she was so excited to be back when we dropped her off. She also made sure Coco got enough exercise before we picked her up on our way home so she'd be tired for roadtrip and sleep in the car. We would definitely leave Coco with Jen again and recommend you do too.

Kota loves to go to Annette’s house , when her family goes out of town ,,, she gets treated like a queen ,, Kota came home with a washed bed and a brand new toy, Thank you so much ,,, it is not easy leaving our fur babies

We boarded our 6 month old puppy with Christine, and she was wonderful to work with! She sent photos to us occasionally but we never felt overwhelmed. He was clearly having a fun time when we picked him up, and was thoroughly tired out (which is a feat with our ball of energy!) highly recommended.

I felt so at ease knowing Vinny had loving human and doggy friends to care for him. I loved getting pictures and videos of his antics with his friends. Thank you!

Brandie took incredible care of our pup and we look forward to calling on her again! She sent many photos and updates, spoiled our dog with treats and cuddles, and provided great communication throughout the entire process. Thank you, Brandie!!

Mario was fantastic to work with! He took care of our dog while we had our big wedding weekend, and ensured our pup was in great hands. He was super considerate to the fact that our dog had an injury, communicative throughout the process, and it was amazing to receive photo updates throughout his stay. We’d definitely book again with Mario!!

They were wonderful with our 5.5 month old puppy. Very caring to him and to us! We felt very comfortable leaving him there and will be doing it again. Thank you!

Gabriel and Annie were so amazingly caring and thoughtful with our anxious pups. Our dogs are rescues who are shy around people, and finding boarding for them is hard and stressful. Gabriel and Annie were so understanding and accommodating of their quirks. Their updates during the weekend were also very reassuring. This is the first time we have been able to travel without feeling really worried and guilty about them being scared. We are so relieved to have found a place our girls can stay when they need to be looked after!

After a quick meet and greet I felt very comfortable leaving our little dog Chloe with Nicole.She reached out a few days before Chloe was going to stay at her home covering a few details. I asked her to send a daily update and picture she did. It made feel at ease and knew everything was going well. After picking up Chloe Nicole told me about her week I am completely satisfied with Nicole’s care of Chloe and would totally ask Nicole to watch Chloe again Thank you again Nicole for your outstanding care of my little Chloe Erik Severson

I can't say enough good things about the way they take care of Marshall. they even take him to some of their family outings (they do ask permission first) and Marshall is always happy to go back here!

Our dog had a fantastic time staying overnight with Jeanette and her family! Jeanette sent us lots of pictures and updates. Great communication. We’ll definitely be going back to her for future boarding and daycare needs!

Lynette took such good care of Harley and Lucky. She was so attentive to them, asking me questions and making sure their needs were addressed. She stayed in frequent contact and sent many pictures. Lynette provides a very warm and secure home for my dogs while they stayed at her house, and I appreciate her proactivity and care.

Mathew and his family were exceptional! He was very responsive to my messages and sent fun updates and pictures of Stella while I was away. I have a senior dog and it is hard to find someone I can trust to give her the care she needs. Matthew and his family made me feel comfortable from the first time we met and Stella seemed to love her vacation with them. Strongly recommend!

Cherissa and her family were the best! Friendly, responsive and showed so much love for my dog. She took amazing photos to send us every day and I knew she was in great hands. Thanks so much Cherissa! Penny will be back! :)

Maria is the best! Took great care of our dog and was extremely easy-going and flexible! Even when our trip got delayed she not only accommodated us but gave extra food to our super-picky dog. She and her family were thoughtful and communicative. Will definitely be using her again!

Jeff did an excellent job with my dog Mason. I got photo updates throughout the week that Jeff had him. Not one complaint about my dogs stay.

Michal and John are loving and compassionate - we had a n excellent experience with our terrier, Izzy. Michal uncomplaining gave Izzy medicine twice a day and encouraged her to eat...Izzy is having issues due to her meds. She also sent pictures which was very reassuring...I would bring Izzy back again- for sure!

Erika took such great care of our fur baby! She was patient with learning all of his quirks and we really appreciated that. She kept up updated with photos! Would definitely recommend her and will use her again!

Highly recommend. Excellent communications and reporting for you. Focused TLC for your pup. It’s only been one visit (so far) but I’m so glad to have found Alex. Securing good care for my older dog has been a stress point since moving cross-country and leaving our beloved dog sitter behind.
