Dog Boarding in Shokan

We were really happy to have left our little guy with Gabriel. He and his wife sent us daily updates that really made us feel connected to our dog while we were away. Highly recommended!

Amy and Chris are very accommodating and always meet Momo with a smile. Momo seems to enjoy time at their home and comes back rested and relaxed. We highly recommend them if you are looking to spend some time at the Catskills. Their place super conveniently located.

My dogs always loved spending time at Richmond’s “dog resort” when we lived in the Catskills. We moved away two years ago but recently came back for a visit. Rather than board my pups at home, I chose to bring them on the 700 mile journey (each way) for a special reunion! It was like bringing them to summer camp! Richmond provides an amazing experience for all the dogs in his care! Big yard to run and explore. Long walks to tire them out. Snuggle time on the couch. Giving medicine if needed. Playtime with other pups. He really cares about the pups and makes sure they have a good experience. Best part of all, he keeps us “pawrents” updated with status reports and lots of photos. Lynette took excellent care of both our pups while we were away! She was very thoughtful and sent updates and pictures every day. She was very communicative and planning went smoothly. We would definitely entrust our pups with her and her family again!

Kim took wonderful care of our dog, Lenny, and was so understanding of his personality and needs. When our trip was unexpectedly extended she was very responsive and it was such a relief to know Lenny was being so well taken care of! Thank you so much!!

I can’t say enough amazing things about Victoria! I was nervous to be away from my doggo after being with him essentially 24/7, 365+ days in the past year during COVID, but she provided me with daily updates every morning and night. just by looking at the photos & hearing about my dog’s day, you could tell he had a great time and was tremendously cared for! would 100000% book Victoria to dogsit again, or even send him over to her place for daycare :)

I can’t rave enough about Nicole! She set me at ease during our meet and greet, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the care she gave to my pup. Nicole has a beautiful home base and yard, that Ritchie adjusted to instantly. She kept me informed with pictures and texts at just the right cadence. And, Ritchie loved her and her pup. I can’t imagine leaving Ritchie with anyone else. I am so thankful I found her on Rover.

Ella had a great time in Jane’s care. I was nervous because this was my first time using Rover but Jane made me feel instantly comfortable and Ella felt totally at home in her space. Jane was also very flexibile with pick up and drop off, which I really appreciated. We’re looking forward to the next time!

I felt like my mini Bernedoodle was at an air bnb as an honored guest having her own vacation. Chastity is a warm and very competent individual. I knew I could entrust her with the care of my much-loved Ella!

My girl Josie absolutely loves staying with Nicole and her family. She gets lots of love and attention, and Nicole is great about sending updates @ pics! Highly recommend her to care for your furry companion!

Cipriana is very friendly, flexible and responsible. We showed up for our meet and greet and she asked such helpful questions to ensure our Penny girl would be in the safest of hands. We had to adjust our stay with her as well and she did without hesitation. Will be using Cipriana's boarding services in the future! Highly recommend.

Jennifer took great care of our very old and frail dog Layla. Jennifer was very attuned and responsive to Layla’s needs and sent updates and photos that were reassuring. We knew Layla was in kind and capable hands.

Sena was the absolute best! She was so accommodating to our pups, and treated them with love and care. One of our dogs gets nervous and standoff-ish with other dogs, and she created a perfect environment for her in which she had no problems. Would def recommend!

Our second time having Volha keep our pup. She’s very kind and caring, and we trust her to take wonderful care of our pup when we’re away. She sends photos and follows instructions perfectly. She communicates well and goes above and beyond. We will use her whenever available as our first choice for dog sitting.

Eleanor is a stellar pet sitter. We got regular updates on their adventures, and they couldn’t look happier or healthier. She took them on multiple walks a day and two different locations so they got really quality outside time. We had an issue come up with the health of one of our pets and Eleanor very kindly went out of her way to pick up medication from our vet. Would definitely book with her again. Thank you, Eleanor!

Thalya took great care of Birdie! Was very friendly, responsive and communicative. Felt very safe and comfortable leaving our pup with her. We will definitely use her again when we need someone to take care of her!
