House Sitting in Bittersville

Chelsey was awesome! Super flexible and helped us out on short notice. As a dog mom herself I knew my boys would be well taken care of. Gave us detailed updates and photos too!

I can't possibly find adequate words to express how amazing Jess is. Jess stayed at my home w/my (fear-aggressive, high maintenance, stranger-leery) rescue dog for nearly 2 weeks & I couldn't be happier with how things went. She came to meet my dog, Tyson, 3 times before actually dog-sitting for him so that he'd be comfortable with her. Once I left town, Tyson staged a hunger strike & Jess went to the store (on Christmas Eve) to get wet food to mix with his regular food to encourage him to eat. I received daily updates (& pictures) about how Tyson was doing & came home to a cleaner home than I had left (seriously, she even washed the bed sheets & remade the bed). In 10 years, I've never left Tyson w/anyone but family or a close friend which greatly limited my ability to travel, so I probably had as much anxiety about leaving Tyson as he had about my absence. I wish I'd found Jess years ago & will DEFINITELY use her in the future. She took such good care of my boy that he honestly seemed disappointed to see me (instead of Jess) when I got home from my trip😂; so much so that I've asked her to stop by to say "Hi" to him from time to time b/c I know he'd be so excited to see her again! Jess will definitely supercede any expectations you have for a pet sitter!

I've never used Rover.com before so was a little hesitant about inviting a stranger into my home to housesit my three pups, but Adam put my mind at ease. He asked a lot of questions beforehand to make sure we were on the same page. He also came over to meet the doggos in advance of the four-night house-sitting. Adam was very respectful of our dogs and our house and left everything in great shape. We also had asked him to take care of our salt water fishtank while we were out of town. This takes a good deal of attention to detail and everything was maintained just how we explained it to him. We will definitely be using Adam's services in the future.

Best dog sitter we have ever hired! Excellent communication, went above and beyond taking care of our three dogs. Will definitely hire again.

Christy was great! Our fur family loved her visit. She kept us updated and sent plenty of pictures. She is very sweet and was also respectful of our house. We will definitely book her again.

Christina is fantastic! Very dedicated to taking care of your pet while you are away. She keeps you updated throughout her stay. I felt very comfortable with her. On a scale of 1-5 she is a 10!

Alex was an excellent sitter for our Maxey. She came to our house prior to our booking for a meet and greet and we knew she would be a great fit! She is very positive, compassionate, and calming. She provided us updates with photos throughout the evening and has always had prompt communication. We look forward to seeing her again.

Kiah was so sweet! She took such great care of our dog and cat and sent pictures of our fur babies while we were away! Would definitely recommend!

After a couple of frustrating attempts to book a house sitter with Rover which wasted weeks of time and shrunk the pool of possible sitters, I was really worried that I wouldn't find anyone so last minute and over the Christmas holidays. Somehow Rover sent Louis my way and I couldn't be more grateful! He contacted me immediately and came the next day for a meet and greet. The dogs loved him right away, even our new stray who was suspicious of all other men. He was willing to look after the ferret and the chipmunk and even agreed to feed the wild birds. The house was tidy when we returned 2 weeks later and most importantly, our beloved pets were happy and healthy. Louis is a kind, competent, man who loves animals and is willing to do whatever needs to be done!

Thomas took excellent care of Sir Winston! Winston isn’t always fond of everyone, but Thomas made him very comfortable, playing with his favorite toy and taking him for extra walks. Thank you Thomas!!

Excellent care of our dog, Paisley, as always! Very attentive and reaches out when she has questions. We regularly receive updates and pictures.

Jay took the time to come meet my animals ahead of time. She left our home as she found it and was responsive before, during, and after the sit. Highly recommended!
