House Sitting in Palmyra

I traumatically lost my husband 1 1/2 years ago, and I was so anxious about leaving our dogs for the first time since becoming a widow because they obviously went through the same major change. On top of it, one of our dogs is 13 with canine dimentia. Melanie was such a huge blessing in my life by taking the absolutely best care of them with her love & attention. She administered medication properly and timely, and she even cleaned up a few areas of our home, which was completely unexpected! She was amazing with her daily communication and pictures! I HIGHLY recommend her for your pets and will definitely be requesting her IMMEDIATELY as soon as I know we have future plans out of town!

I've never used Rover.com before so was a little hesitant about inviting a stranger into my home to housesit my three pups, but Adam put my mind at ease. He asked a lot of questions beforehand to make sure we were on the same page. He also came over to meet the doggos in advance of the four-night house-sitting. Adam was very respectful of our dogs and our house and left everything in great shape. We also had asked him to take care of our salt water fishtank while we were out of town. This takes a good deal of attention to detail and everything was maintained just how we explained it to him. We will definitely be using Adam's services in the future.

Gabby took very good care of my two dogs. She was good at communicating and asking questions to give them the very best care. I would highly recommend her!

Cassidy did a fantastic job staying with our two pups! She was well prepared for handling our pup that has special care needs as well. Highly recommend Cassidy and look forward to working with her again…and so do our pups!

Dani was very friendly! She came to our home for a meet and greet ahead of our trip and was really great with our dog Cocoa. Our only disappointment was the hours with which Cocoa was left alone. We noted we were fine with Dani working her full-time job in addition to dog sitting in our home for the week, however we made sure to ask ahead of time that Cocoa not be left alone for more than 8 hours a day (minus travel to and from work as needed). We also try to be rather easy going, we know there are things going on outside of taking care of our pup. Dani assured us that was no problem. To be honest, we had turned down other sitters who just couldn’t commit to the job. It’s totally fair to be unable to meet the needs our pup requires but we try to be honest about our expectations so that there’s no confusion. That being said, we have a doorbell camera and noticed there were a couple days where Cocoa was left alone for 12-14 hours at a time - which was really disappointing to see.

Alena stayed with our yellow lab at our house for a week. It was our first time using Rover or any pet service, and our experience with Alena has certainly given us the confidence to book her through Rover again. Her professionalism and detail-oriented approach instilled confidence, and we were able to be away with our family knowing our fur kid was in good hands. Thank you so much, Alena!!

Kayla was great! She took care of our 3 dogs and did a wonderful job. Was quick to replied and send pictures and keep us updated. Highly recommend

Strongly recommend Amanda. We were nervous to leave our one dog who has terrible anxiety. Amanda came for 2 meet and greets and spent ample time getting our dogs used to her prior to our trip. While away, she took the best care of our pups. She even brought them special treats! We will definitely be booking Amanda in the future. Because of her, we were able to relax and enjoy our vacation.

Erika was great with our puppy and made us feel so at ease. The house was in perfect condition when we got back and our pup was super happy. She keeps looking longingly at the door, so I think she is missing Erika even now that we’re home, which is the best review I could ask for.

Samantha did a wonderful job with Oreo. He can take a bit to warm up to people but she was patient and eventually won him over. She was very professional, confirming appointments and responding in a timely manner. We enjoyed working with her and look forward to having her house/dog sit again.

Great sitter, took excellent care of my pets

I felt very confident that Kiersten was loving my dog. She wants to be a vet and showed interest in caring for my dog’s health needs. She sent photos and updates regularly. She walked the dog 3 miles a day, She left the house the way she found it. and even helped my friend move a heavy desk from the basement to the upstairs. I will also call on her to walk my dog if needed. I would definitely have egg Kiersten stay with Estelle again.

Veniece is awesome! She was amazing with Dora and played with her and walked her until her little heart was content! She care for our girl like she was her own and we’re so thankful to have found her. We will no doubt hire her again.
