Dog Boarding in Roanoke

It was so hard to leave my sweet girl for 8 days, but it had to be done. I visited several boarding places and just wasn't finding the availability or the standards that I was looking for. So I turned to rover.com and found Shannon. She was always very responsive and was happy to do a meet and greet before I booked. It went well! I was also impressed with her 14 year old daughter and her experience with dogs. Knowing that my girl would have another small dog to hang out with was what sealed the deal. Shannon sent pictures, videos and/or updates daily. It took a couple of days for my girl to start feeling comfortable but eventually she seemed to relax and have some fun. Knowing she was doing okay really helped me relax on my vacation. Shannon was also flexible with my drop off and pick up times which really helped me out. I would definitely use Shannon again.

A great pet sitter. They have a fenced in yard so my dog could run around outside. They were able to stay with my dog which helped with his separation anxiety. They sent a ton of update pictures.

If I could give more than 5 stars I would. We have had sitters come to our home before to take care of Ryker but we have never dropped him of any where. So I was nervous to say the least. Theresa was so kind, attentive, communicative, and inviting with my whole family and Ryker. She was patient with me when I stayed a little longer at drop off, she never made me feel rushed or unwanted. Ryker is a very hyper anxious dog in the beginning and she remained calm and reassuring that he would do great. She sent me pictures almost immediately after I got home showing me they were snuggled on the couch. We were going away to visit family and go to a wedding she sent updates and photos just the perfect amount of times in the day so I didn’t feel overwhelmed but still had a great sense of what he was doing and how he was doing. We came in late from our road trip and she couldn’t have been more understanding and kind about it. Driving home now and I know Ryker already misses her house. I will definitely use her in the future and highly recommend others to book her as well.

We were so fortunate to find John. Our dogs immediately bonded to him with his dog loving nature. John and I become friends instantly! I give him 10 out of 5 stars!

Kimberly went above and beyond in every way! She hosted a meet and greet to make Murphy and I both comfortable with the upcoming stay. When we had a last minute unexpected change to our plans she was super accommodating. Communication was thorough and took away any anxiety we had about leaving our boy! We highly recommend.

Marah took amazing care of our two pups for 8 nights while we were out of town. She was very friendly, informative, and timely with updates on our dogs. She also sent nightly pictures, which was so appreciated! She was very quick to respond to messages and answer any questions we had while the dogs were away from us. Our dogs came home exhausted from so much love and playtime. We will definitely book with Marah from now on!

This is the first time we used Jessica to watch our 2 y.o. Beagle. I was apprehensive because LuLu is an escape artist and typically mopes about when we have left her elsewhere. Jessica took extra precautions to make sure LuLu would be safe, and she really put my mind at ease so I could enjoy myself. Jessica updated me with pictures and reports of LuLu and her dog Frances chasing each other around the yard, eating her normal dinner, relaxing on the couch, and cuddling up in her bed that night. She even checked on LuLu during the night, so sweet! I would definitely recommend Jessica to anyone looking for a conscientious, responsible pet sitter.

Penny & Evan kindly responded to my last minute request for boarding my 2 year old terrier mix. They are both kind, thoughtful people with an elderly mid sized mixed breed dog & a fenced back yard. They took good care of Murphy & over the 4 days catered to his needs despite him probably being more energetic than they were used to. I would certainly recommend them for boarding.

Donna took such good care of Buddy for us. Her home and fenced yard we're safe and dog friendly. Donna is warm, caring and communicates well and promptly. We highly recommend her services!

Rebecca was AMAZING!! She had very good communication and lots of up date pics to share while she was caring for our doggie. We had a delayed flight coming home and she was very helpful during that stressful time. Rebecca truly treated our dog like her own. We are so thankful for her and her care! This is the second time we have had Ashley watch Miesha for us while on another weekend getaway. She always keeps us well informed and sends pictures of our sweet girl. We will definitely be using her again!

The absolute best people to watch the dogs! They are so friendly! My dog automatically took to them. They have a great home with a fenced in yard for the dogs to roam and play. Sent frequent photos and videos which I absolutely appreciated. Im sure my dog probably wants to move in with them, she thought she was in Vegas there. Very Highly recommended!

Denna and her husband were great to our Biscuit! They sent photos of him and updated us on how he was eating and getting along with the other dogs! We really loved they were giving him walks and keeping him happy! We found our go to pet sitters!

Dropping Brady off with Cheryle and Henry was like dropping him off for a weekend with his grandparents! He had a great time and I can tell he was loved and spoiled the entire time!
