Dog Boarding in Minocqua

Penny was a wonderfully kind and gentle sitter for my two sensitive, sometimes timid rescue girlies. I had never left either of my dogs with a sitter outside of my own home, but after meeting Penny and Molly during drop-off, my nerves were quickly eased. She was attentive and kept in touch throughout the entire week with updates and photos. I loved seeing Sophie and Grace making new friends (human and canine) around the neighborhood during their many walks! Sophie is my senior girl and can initially be sensitive to change, especially when it comes to her eating habits and daily medication, but she responded very well to the care that Penny and her kids provided! As we were leaving Penny's home after pick-up and pulling out the driveway, a couple kids from across the street spotted Soph through the window and called out "bye Sophie!!" as they waved goodbye, which just made my heart melt. I am so thankful to have found Penny through Rover and definitely plan to use her services again the next time I travel to northern Wisconsin!

Jayne is a five-star PLUS sitter, and we couldn't be happier with her services. Our two CKCS stayed with her family for three days and two nights. Despite a few challenges (we forgot to bring their kibble, lol!), it was quickly apparent that Jayne is well-experienced and can easily pivot to solve a problem. Quality is hard to find in the Northwoods, but Jayne hits five stars on all counts - a meet-and-greet meeting, queries on our pups' behaviors and patterns, and a sincere, loving approach at arrival, throughout their stay, and departure. We plan to rebook as needed.

Joy takes great care of our dog. She monitors our dog's health and provides lots of playtime and cuddly rest spots.

My wife and I were extremely impressed the first time we met Abbie, when we dropped off Cali, for her first couple day stay. Abbie greeted us with a big smile, showed us where Cali will be staying and answered all our questions. Abbie is very knowledgeable and has a big heart for dogs and their care. Rosie had a great time at Rob and Kris’s!! She had the best time playing in the pond and running around the huge yard!! She came home exhausted from all the fun she had!! Will definitely be taking her here again!!

This was our first time using Rover, I was definitely really skeptical (like what if this was a scam, etc.) So I was very nervous but we booked a last minute Memorial weekend getaway and all other kennels were booked. We came across Wendy's profile and really liked how she described herself! She had recent reviews and recently updated her availability. That's what drew me to her initially. She was able to accommodate us when we booked on Wednesday for that same weekend. She responded right away with a "Yes" or "No" for booking and reached out to us right away via text messages to ask for pictures and care plan. She answered any questions I had as this was our first time using Rover and using a private dog sitter/board. She also messaged us a prior to the scheduled day just to let us know that she's excited! She was also very accommodating with the drop-off/pick-up time. We were scheduled to drop off at 2pm and pick up at 8pm the next day. We were able to drop her off a little bit earlier and pick her up a little later due to changes in our trip. Wendy and her family were ready for us upon arriving, she did have a dog and she brought him out to meet us and our dog for a bit. The area Wendy lives in was very nice as well, I wanted to make sure we picked the right fit and we definitely did. From Wendy and Kinsey and her home, it made me feel much more at ease. She texted me pictures and updates which I really appreciated. We got to talk a little bit when we picked up our dog and Wendy gave us a brief recap of the weekend (how many walks they went on, how our dog was behaving, etc.) Would definitely book Wendy (and Kinsey) again!
