House Sitting in Alamitos

Our dog Mitzi came to us as a stray so had a tough start to life. Consequently, she is nervous when meeting strangers. She quickly warmed up to Courtney as she realized what a kind and caring person she is. Courtney displayed a very good understanding of dog behavior and handled Mitzi perfectly. We will definitely use her again!

Becky was amazing - she was prompt (and even ahead of time), bonded with our pup Yogi quickly, even though he was being a little jumpey and loud. She was very mindful of not disturbing his sleep and also sent cute pictures and updates along the way. She also played a little with him and fed him on time and was an awesome companion!

Rose did an amazing job watching Jasper and our house. I think our little buddy already misses her! Rose excelled in communication, sending us daily updates on how Jasper was doing and made sure everything was understood on how to care for him and our house. Such attention to detail! We look forward to having Rose watch our little guy on future trips. We know he'll be in great hands!

Fluff is a very introverted and reserved dog. He rarely lets strangers pet him and is quite selective about who he allows into his circle. Even though Sophia has done one drop-in visit before, it was a huge step for Fluff to welcome her into his world. Sophia was wonderfully patient with him, giving him the space he needed while also making it clear that she was there for him. She took him on plenty of walks, made sure he was fed, and even gave him his evening massages. I could tell from all the adorable photos and videos she sent that he was gradually becoming more comfortable with her. She was also very respectful of our home and I truly appreciate the care and attention she showed both to Fluff and to our space. We’d love to have her pet sit again!

Jessica was incredible with our pup. She took great care of her and our home. Gave us plenty of updates and photos. Can’t wait to have her back!

Patricia was great with my guy - he was happy as a clam when I got home - and I will definitely be asking her to house sit for me in the future.

Brandy was an absolute life saver for our family. Not only did she stay at our house with our three dogs, but she took amazing care of our home. It’s always so nice to come home to a clean home after a long trip. She sent photos and made me feel secure about our pets while we were on our trip. Cannot rave enough goods things!

Kathy house sat our house and took care of our cat - Pierre - while we were away overseas for a couple of weeks. We usually have friends take care of him for short trips, but this being an extended period of time over a holiday period, we thought of having someone house sit for us. It was our first time with Rover.com, but everything went really well and to our satisfaction. Kathy is very professional and understands cats (Pierre adopted her from her first visit). A few days prior to our departure, we met one last time with Kathy to cover Pierre's habits and preferences. Kathy came prepared with questions after having read our instructions on Rover. While we were away, Kathy sent us regular pictures and updates on Pierre and the house in general, which helped us enjoy our trip even more, knowing the Pierre was in good hands. We will definitely think of hiring Kathy's services again the next time we leave for a trip!

Andrea did an exceptional job in seeking to understand mine and Gideon's needs, asking thoughtful questions, and providing consistent and comforting updates and feedback. She is pleasant and seems to have a kind heart. She went above and beyond my expectations, and ensured my personal needs were accommodated while ensuring for the well-being of my special needs boi. I would highly recommend her to anybody who may be apprehensive of such services (because we love them so much and hate to be away from them), but she delivered!
