Dog Boarding in Castro Valley

This was our second time using Rover for our French bulldog Winnie. Our first experience with Rover wasn’t great even though the sitter had good reviews they didn’t really follow the care instructions we left. Because of that we were much more careful this time and specifically looked for someone with Frenchie experience. That’s when we found Cindy. What immediately stood out was that she has two French bulldogs of her own which gave us a lot of peace of mind. Winnie stayed with Cindy for five days and even though I was a little nervous about how she would do around other dogs Cindy kept us updated and reassured us that she was doing great. You can genuinely tell that Cindy cares deeply about the dogs she watches. She’s very kind patient and easy to communicate with. She also shared helpful tips and advice for caring for a Frenchie which we really appreciated since Winnie is our first one. Another huge plus is her location. She lives right across the street from a large park which is perfect for dogs of all sizes. We had a great experience with Cindy and would absolutely book with her again. I highly recommend her especially if you have a French bulldog.

They were incredibly patient, loving, and attentive to him, and I could tell he felt comfortable and happy with them. They did an amazing job following his routine and taking care of his needs, and it gave me so much peace of mind knowing he was in such good hands while I was away. We left our 4-month-old puppy, Chia, and our dog Mocha at Shuvashna’s home, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the very first time we met her, she was warm, caring, and welcoming. We immediately loved her energy—and our pups did too! We were especially looking for someone experienced and gentle, particularly with a young puppy, and Shuvashna truly went above and beyond to make both of our dogs feel safe and comfortable. Her communication was top-notch; she sent us daily updates, which was a huge relief and allowed us to enjoy our time away with peace of mind. My wife and I wholeheartedly recommend Shuvashna (and her husband) to anyone looking for a warm, caring person who will treat your dog like their own. I can’t say how much I want to Thank Lea and her husband Ryan for taking good care of our dogs Baby and Foxy. This was a first for my husband and I to leave them in someone else’s care due to our weekend away. I had worries and anxieties leaving them behind but Lea sent me pictures and communicated with me daily that made me feel at ease. Both dogs LOVE her and I’m now comfortable taking vacations with out our fur babies knowing they are week taking cared of and LOVED by Lea and her husband.

We left our 16 year old baby in Robin and Dan's very capable and loving hands. We now feel relieved we finally found someone who will take as much good care of our family member as they do.

Robert was great in taking care of my lovely 11 yr old Rhodesian Ridgeback. She is a special needs dog due to loosing her left eye from glaucoma. She needs medication given to her 3 times a day in her right eye. Because of that my husband and I didn't go on vacations without her. After 2 1/2 years we decided to trust someone to take good care of her and give her the medication she needs. I found Robert on Rover.com and we set up a meet and greet. Luckily everything went well and we were able to leave her with him for a week. Robert is very attentive to her needs and gave us almost daily updates on how she was doing along with pictures. We were able to enjoy our vacation because of him. I would definitely recommend!

Astrid and Candido were amazing with our girl Luna! We loved all of the photos and the communication was excellent. I could tell that Luna was having a great time and was really happy snuggling with Astrid and her family. Right before we left town, Luna had to go to the vet and get some antibiotics for a gum infection, and Astrid did a wonderful job making sure she took her medicine every day. It's always a bit stressful to leave town without your pup, but we felt such a huge sense of relief knowing that she was getting great care at Astrid's house. 10 out of 10, would definitely recommend and book with Astrid again!

I had an amazing experience with this dog boarding place! The staff was friendly, professional, and treated my dog like part of their family. They kept me updated and made me feel comfortable knowing my dog was safe, happy, and well cared for. My dog came home relaxed and in a great mood.
