House Sitting in Castroville

Rain was absolutely fantastic at caring for our two dogs while we were out of town. She took them on multiple walks, fed them on their routine, played with them, stayed for extended parts of the day with them and sent us daily photos and videos of them and status updates. She was incredibly communicative, responsive and helpful and we will gladly use her services again.

Thank you Jawharrah for your gentle loving care of our “old boy” Tochi. His behavior since we returned on Monday made it quite clear he spent his weekend in good company. And speaking of company … thank you, Rover, for finding quality care givers like Jawharrah. We would not have been able to travel 3,000 miles from home for the family wedding without the knowledge and confidence that our 12 year old canine champion would be in good hands. Well done. Sara was fantastic! They stayed in my home for 8 days caring for my dogs, cats, horses and fish. I got daily updates of pictures and videos and they communicated very quickly if I ever reached out. My house was somehow cleaner than I left it and everything was obviously well taken care of. My animals clearly adored Sara and I’m very happy with everything. Would definitely recommend Sara as someone you can trust with your home and pets!

Mallory was very thorough and made sure she understood all of Hoku’s needs well. She sent photos and check-ins and was great at keeping us informed of Hoku. She was a great house guest as well and we came home to a clean relaxing space, which was great after a long weekend getaway.

Lisbeth took excellent care of our home and dogs for the two weeks we were away. She sent many updates and photos. She was easy to communicate with and Are dogs loved her. Thanks you!!

Greta is not only an incredible pet/house sitter, she is just a wonderful human being. She’s timely, communicative, kind, and a true lover of animals. We just got back from a trip and came home to an immaculate house and very happy pup. She is our new go to, for sure!

Rebeca was great! Got lots of updates and pics. Came home to happy dog and cat. She stayed 3 nights and I would definitely request her services again, highly recommend!!

Our pets were immediately out at ease when meeting Christine and were very calm and happy afterwards. She is obviously very caring and good with pets. We will definitely reach out to her again for dog sitting.

Valery took care of our dog when we were visiting Carmel. She was terrific from start to finish: great at communicating, wonderful with our pooch, and flexible when our time frame shifted. We highly recommend her!

Tiffany watched and housesat my fuzzy kids for 2 weeks. She was very communicative and the fuzzies seemed to like her a lot. She was able to navigate my dogs quirks with going outside. The kitty seemed to gravitate towards her immediately and sit on her. She left my house very clean and respected my property. Will definitely ask her to sit again

Nicole was Amazing!!! Firstly I had to add extra day due to flights changes and she was more then willing to accomodate. When we did the Meet and Greet, my dog grab his leash and wanted to go with her straight away. It was love at first sight for him!! She was very professional with confirming my departure and arriving times, and any special needs for Salvador. She followed all instructions to a T. This was the first time in 5 years, I have left my dog for longer then 48 hours, and first time I have left Salvador with a housesitter in America (We are from Australia). She eased my mind with regular updates. I returned to extremely clean house and very happy puppy. Nicole went above and beyond, including extra tasks not asked of her (like collecting chicken eggs and dealing with propone filling). I would recommend Nicole to anyone who would like someone to love, care, and walk their love ones. I have a couple more trips coming up this year and definitely will be booking Nicole again.

Spencer was terrific. He really understood Olive's needs post a small surgery. He is highly dependable and communicates well. We were very comfortable leaving Olive with him and found a very happy dog when we returned. He is an experienced dog sitter and has a calm personality, which is always reassuring.

We had to leave unexpectedly for over a week and our 2 regular dogsitters were unavailable. We have multiple dogs and cats, including a 160-pound Great Dane. We were lucky to find Sophia on Rover. We met her in-person hours later and we (and our managerie) liked her. She came to stay in our home a few hours later. Sophia did a wonderful, though not perfect job, (she missed walks on a couple of days), of watching our home and animals. Our dogs clearly love her, she administered our Dane's medicines correctly, sent us pics of their walks, brought in mail, and we were able to attend to an out-of-country funeral with no worries about our dogs, cats or home. She gave us peace of mind. We came home late, but she stayed and waited. She was very friendly and respectful...and our home was left spotless. We highly recommend her and would use her again.

Oleksandr did a great job watching Bella while we were out of town. He took her for long walks and sent us pictures daily. She seemed really happy.....Thanks for taking care of our Bella!

Nicole is great with our girls. Communicates well, very efficient and good attention to detail. She would definitely be welcome in our home again.
