Dog Boarding in Emeryville

I had a weekend trip planned and sadly family and friends couldn't sit Aggie, though was recommended by a friend to try Rover. So with about a week before the trip, I wanted to find a neighbor that was communicative, responsive, had and has current experience with dogs, and is familiar with dog sitting. On a brief search, I found Marlene and Marlene's mom with lots of positive reviews and close by to me! I reached out, checked in a bit, and made arrangements for a pre-dog sit meeting for everyone to meet one another which gave me peace of mind. Marlene was responsive, communicative, and thoughtful. I appreciated the photos Marlene sent me during the weekend. Aggie's an older foster dog, and Marlene was quick to share some questions and concerns which we were able to figure out together on a brief phone call which I really appreciated. I'm new to Rover, and our conversation helped me to be communicative about Aggie's conditions as an elder dog, reassure Marlene, and to update Aggie's profile. I was happy to see Aggie when I picked her up and Marlene and Marlene's mom were very kind, thoughtful, and open about sharing the latest of Aggie's conditions. If you're in the east bay/Berkeley/Oakland/Emeryville area, I recommend Marlene and Marlene's mom!!

Danielle is fantastic! She took such amazing care of Indie and went above and beyond to make everything easy for me. I especially loved the updates she sent—they gave me so much peace of mind knowing Indie was happy, well cared for, and having a great time with her and her pups. On top of that, Danielle was incredibly accommodating, picking up and dropping off Indie in a pinch, which made my life so much easier. Couldn’t be more appreciative of her kindness and professionalism. I will definitely be back! Highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring dog sitter.

Mariola took excellent care of our dogs while we were away. I really appreciated hearing from her each day and all the photos she sent! We would absolutely call on her next time we need a sitter!

Incredibly responsive and take care of Franny as if she were their own. We’re very glad to have people and a place where she can feel comfortable when we’re out of town.

Joann was a great pet sitter for my dog. She was easy to get ahold of before and during my dogs boarding. We set up a meeting before and Joann was very accommodating with her schedule to have us check out her place before boarding. She has lots of space including a gorgeous backyard with a sunny deck. I knew my girl was in good hands and can tell Joann has plenty of experience with dogs. Highly recommend booking her!

Before hand- they were very nice, thoughtful, asked all the questions to make sure they know the dogs needs and they were extremely gracious with our changing itinerary, which we really appreciated. Throughout the pups stay, they sent photos and communication and from what we can tell the pups had a good time for which we are very grateful!

Latricia was great with my pup. We met prior so my dog could feel out the space and meet her pup. She sent me pictures everyday of my dog, which I really appreciated and generally took good care of him. After I picked my dog up, he was in good spirits. Recommend!

Mary was great with my baby girl, Kuki! Kuki was well taken care of, tons of lovely updates with photos along with treats, pats, and fun walks. It was my first time having her stay with Mary and I felt assured and comfortable the whole time. Mary was super thoughtful and thorough with any needs and preferences Kuki may have, would definitely have Kuki stay with Mary and Murphy again ☺️

I really appreciated you taking the time to do a meet and greet over the weekend before I left her in your care—it made me feel so much more at ease. Your flexibility with her pick-up time was also a huge help. With my late-night flight home, it was wonderful that you could accommodate a late pick-up on my way back from the airport. You made the entire process so convenient, and I’m truly grateful. Thank you again!

Wow, 5+ stars thank you Stephanie! Sumo is a senior rescue, so he has a lot of demands (gets into things he’s not supposed to, eats trash on the street, guards high value items) but at casa la Stephanie he’s a changed senior. Stephanie’s home was so clean and organized, her energy was so calming, I’m really not sure that sumo wanted to come back home. This was my first time using Rover and I really appreciate you Stephanie for all the attention to detail you have, such as the mental activities and the walks with your other two 🐶s. The pupdates were my favorite thing to read at the end of a work day, and I really look forward to having you host him in the future 💝 appreciate you!

Pat and Tim took really great care of our dog Bailey! She got sick while we were away but they took great care of her and sent us detailed updates so we didn't worry. She got plenty of walks and clearly misses them and Coco!

Rachel and her boyfriend were such great caretakers of our King Charles Cavalier Bowie! When the week leading up to my brother’s wedding proved itself to be too hectic, Rachel was open to taking care of Bowie for 6 days, relatively last minute. She organised a meet and greet to make sure he was comfortable with her and her lovely pup Evvie, she was flexible with timing, and provided great updates during his entire stay. Bowie loved staying with Rachel and was so happy to have Evvie around for extra company. It was such a relief to know that Bowie was well looked after and I could focus on the wedding festivities. Would definitely recommend Rachel and would love to have her and her boyfriend look after Bowie again!

Eiko is the best - very flexible, thoughtful, great communicator, and our dog Kylo loves to spend time with her and her family. Highly recommend.
