Dog Boarding in Gold River

Derek and Leslie are wonderful! My 2 babies love going to stay with them and the photos sent by Derek show me they make my doggies part of their family.

This was my first time using Rover along with care for my Pomeranian, Kahlua. Angela made the process easy as we chatted about booking options and I decided to use overnight boarding. Angela sent me videos and pictures during kahlua’s stay and I could tell he was adjusting and playing well with her dog, Jazzy. Angela was effective and prompt in all communications and even patient when my work trip got back late in the evening. She was attentive to details for snacks/feeding schedules and provided above and beyond care of Kahlua. I highly recommend her for any of your pet needs! She has gained my trust and Kahua’s. I will definitely be using her services again anytime I need to be away. Thank you again Angela and her doggy Jazzy for helping Kahlua happy and in positive spirits while we were away from him.

Adrienne did a fantastic job looking after Teddy. I am a first time pet owner and she definitely made me feel reassured that she can take of my dog. She knew what she was doing and provided me with videos/texts updates on Teddy, which is very professional of her. And big plus that she had a kid that can play and burn out his puppy energy. I will definitely request her services in the future :)

Alexis and Family were great once again! They were excited to welcome Shadow back and introduce Tallulah to their crew. She was accommodating to both their needs and behaviors (Shadow recently had an accident and required meds and restricted exercise) and sent me regular updates and pictures!

We left our fur baby with Sixuan for 3 weeks over two consecutive sessions- really Sixuan is one of the best ! My dog is old and needs careful handling and Sixuan and her son looked after Andi like their own dog. We got regular pictures and updates. Thank You Sixuan!

Darlene was amazing!!! She sent photos as soon as we left and I could tell my pup was already having a great time. I did not have service most of the time he stayed with Darlene but it was amazing to see all the photos load on our way back to town and how much fun they had. My dog tends to lick a hot spot when he is bored or anxious and I’ve gotten used to flares when he stays with Rovers- this was not the case with Darlene. She even added coconut oil to a spot he was itching on his back. She also took him on long walks and actively played fetch with him. She will now be our go-to dog sitter now that we’ve moved to Sacramento. I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter!! Thank you, Darlene!

Kendra is amazing!! She is SO patient and truly cares about the dogs she watches. She went out of her way to make sure that our pup felt comfortable in her home. He is a rescue so it meant the world to us!!

Maryse was amazing with my senior Yorkie! She kept me updated with messages and photos the whole time, which I really appreciated. I felt totally at ease knowing he was in good hands. I’d absolutely recommend her and will be using her again.

I was so relieved when we found Nancy! My dog is getting older and needs a lot of extra care and patience. She is also on a lot of medication which can be overwhelming for most people. Nancy was great even got her outside all the time which is her favorite! She definitely treated her like a princess! We are very thankful we found Nancy! Always sent me updates and many adorable photos!

Erin & Devin communicated well about our dog & sent pictures. They truly seemed to care about him - brushed him, played with him in addition to his walks. It was so nice to be able to enjoy our trip & see pictures of a happy dog that was well cared for! We feel very comfortable leaving our dog with Erin & Devin.

Amy & Justin were amazing with Milo, and I could tell he felt right at home with them. It was very comforting knowing he was in good hands and was being treated so well. They sent lots of pictures and a thorough update every day. I will definitely be booking with them the next time we need a dog sitter for vacation or even day visits so Milo can play with his new friends again.

Smoke and weed-free home environments are very important to us. Laura’s home was perfect! There’s also a fenced backyard and they live in a nice neighborhood. We’re simple when it comes to communication and there was no need to have daily information about our dog’s stay (our choice). Maya was in good spirits when we picked her up. Would book again!

We are so happy to have found Johnna for our girls. She gives them so much love and takes wonderful care of them. We love getting the daily pictures and updates. She is such an animal lover and it shows. We are so grateful to have found her. We have peace when leaving them knowing they are in loving hands.

This feedback is for two reasons. First, I want to express my immense gratitude to Gregory for saving us during a very stressful moment. Our original sitter canceled the booking just two days before we were scheduled to drop off our dog. We found out after 5 PM on a Friday, which was incredibly stressful and frustrating, though we understand that unforeseen situations can occur. What was particularly upsetting was that when I searched for a new sitter, the fees were significantly higher due to the short notice. I reached out to Rover support and was disappointed to learn that there is no real contingency plan for last-minute sitter cancellations. A sitter's trustworthiness and reliability are paramount to building the company's reputation. This is why Gregory was such a blessing. He is a true asset to Rover. He took exceptional care of our German Shepherd for an entire week. He provided daily walks, ensured our dog ate on time, dedicated time for play, and made sure he had plenty of rest. We are so grateful for his professionalism and care. He is highly recommendable, and we will definitely be requesting his services again.

Julie & her husband were great with our little rascal :) She has a great space for the dogs and provides a very loving, fun place for them.

Kendall is amazing! She is very communicative and kept us updated with pictures of Teddy having a blast at the park and playing fetch. What’s more, she’s incredibly flexible, which is an understatement! Our flights were delayed, and she extended our booking to ensure Teddy was well-cared for. Thank you, Kendall! Divya is AMAZING. Where do I even start? First, she is extremely prompt in her response time about my booking inquiry. As soon as she saw my request she immediately asked me if / when I would be able to do a meet and greet. When I arrived at her house she greeted me at the door with a huge and friendly smile. Honey, my Vizsla, who suffers from velcro-dog-syndrome (a combo of anxiety, slow-to-warm attachment, with some adjustment d/o sprinkled in) appeared to be more relaxed than usual. I booked immediately upon my return home from the meet and greet. A week before my scheduled trip Honey got out and we could not find her for several days. When I informed Divya about the situation she was very accommodating and actually assisted me in getting info out on my dog. She followed up with me daily and when (3 days later) got our dog back was quick to assist me in rebooking Honey's stay. During the stay I was provided with updates on Honey, most of the time with cute descriptions and pictures. Anything Honey needed, Divya and her husband were quick to provide to her. They had a beautiful fenced in yard that allowed her to run around at her leisure with their pup w (who is a perfect energy match for Honey.) At the end of our stay we were informed that our return flight was canceled, and we would need to have Honey stay an extra day. Divya immediately told me that she would assist me in extending our stay and told us to just focus on getting home and not stress about our pup. (I mean come on guys how cute!) When we finally made it back to pick Honey up to go home she was excited but in no rush to leave. Typically she is already trying to jump in the car before I am able to say thank you but this time she was just hanging out at our feet without the sense of urgency to leave. Honey and I both cannot think of enough wonderful things to say about Divya. We are already planning another trip and are hoping Divya will be around to hang out with Honey while we are gone! We will 100% be back to stay with Divya!!

Our pups had a great stay at with Galady and her sweet dog Pepper! We loved the frequent updates Galady sent us and felt at ease during our entire trip. I would highly recommend her!

Shannon was awesome - I would definitely recommend! She watched my 2 dogs for a week while I was on a family vacation. This was a last minute need when my air bnb cancelled and the replacement rental didn’t allow dogs. She responded right away to the request and met up for a doggie meet and greet the same week. She was super responsive throughout the week and sent me regular video and picture updates. I could tell my dogs were really well taken care of and having a great time!
