Dog Boarding in Orinda

Patrick exceeded my expectations! I did not want to leave my 6 month puppy in a kennel and discovered Rover through a recommendation. His havanese, Sophie, was the perfect playmate and when I brought my puppy Bonnie, they instantly ran off to play! Patrick sent me pictures and I felt so relieved to know Bonnie was having a good time! Highly recommend!!!

Great experience with having our Samoyed stay with Ulunma. She is a great communicator, and we appreciate the photos and updates she sent, as well as her flexibility about drop off and pick up times. Our pooch seems well cared for!

Christine was an amazing dog host! Great communication, caring for my senior dog, and we did an intro with her dog Shrimp ahead of time to make sure they would hit it off together. She sent pictures and updates, and was very accommodating for our crazy schedule. 10/10, would absolutely hire again.

Kelly was so amazing!!!! I felt so comfortable and safe leaving my kitten with her. She has a full room devoted to the animals and spends time with them in there. I got photos the whole time she took care of her too. When I went to pick her up, Kelly brought my cat, her toys, AND a homemade goodie bag out to my car. Truly such an amazing experience. Will absolutely be booking again.

Will definitely be a repeat client! We left our 1-year-old dog Stevie with Danielle for 11 nights. It was our first time using Rover. Couldn't be happier with how she was cared for. Having multiple dogs around really helped Stevie's separation anxiety and Danielle helped with OUR separation anxiety by sending loads of photos and videos. Danielle is flexible, always responsive, and thinks ahead of time about possible conflicts with other dogs. Really appreciate having her as a resource. Will definitely book Stevie here again!

Dakota and Addi boarded with Valerie for 8 days while I was on vacation. She was amazing at communicating about all of their behaviors and needs during the time I was gone. I received many updates and photos about their activities as well! I can always trust that Valerie will take great care of them while I am away, whether it is a short visit or longer visit.

Really a great host and an animal lover. Angela kept me updated how my dog is doing while I was in NY. She has been very responsive and shares pictures. She and her cats spent time with my dog and kept him happy. U could trust her for taking care of your baby and I highly recommend her.

I had a weekend trip planned and sadly family and friends couldn't sit Aggie, though was recommended by a friend to try Rover. So with about a week before the trip, I wanted to find a neighbor that was communicative, responsive, had and has current experience with dogs, and is familiar with dog sitting. On a brief search, I found Marlene and Marlene's mom with lots of positive reviews and close by to me! I reached out, checked in a bit, and made arrangements for a pre-dog sit meeting for everyone to meet one another which gave me peace of mind. Marlene was responsive, communicative, and thoughtful. I appreciated the photos Marlene sent me during the weekend. Aggie's an older foster dog, and Marlene was quick to share some questions and concerns which we were able to figure out together on a brief phone call which I really appreciated. I'm new to Rover, and our conversation helped me to be communicative about Aggie's conditions as an elder dog, reassure Marlene, and to update Aggie's profile. I was happy to see Aggie when I picked her up and Marlene and Marlene's mom were very kind, thoughtful, and open about sharing the latest of Aggie's conditions. If you're in the east bay/Berkeley/Oakland/Emeryville area, I recommend Marlene and Marlene's mom!!

Madeleine was amazing with Taro! She kept us updated with multiple photos each day and was super communicative throughout. Taro had the best time—sunbathing, sniffing flowers, and soaking up all the snuggles. Madeleine even went out of her way to pick up more of Taro’s favorite treats when we ran out. We will be back soon :)

Michael took great care of my dog, who can be a handful! I got lots of great updates with pictures. My dog isn’t always comfortable with everyone, but he seemed to feel relaxed and at home with Michael and his son!

Robert and Brian are fantastic. They take excellent care of our dog. Robert gives tons of exercise as well as affection. He provided updates and sounds like our guy had another great time over at their place. I would highly recommend Robert and Brian.

Matt was amazing. Communicative, flexible, and knowledgeable. Our pup can be a handful, and Matt was completely on top of it. Would definitely recommend, and we hope to work with Matt for a long time to come.

Jeff, Beth and their kids took wonderful care of our dog, Jasper, taking her on daily hikes, playing fetch with her in the yard and even including her in bedtime cuddles and reading. Plus we got tons of updates and photos every day. We seriously worried Jasper wouldn’t want to come home. We’re sure she’ll be thrilled to stay with Jeff and Beth again.
