Dog Boarding in Hamden

This is my first time using Rover and having Anthony take care of our Bruno. Bruno stayed with Anthony from 9/16-9/26 and I am so grateful he did. He was originally supposed to go to a doggy daycare but I didn’t feel 100% confortable not knowing how much attention they could truly provide him. Anthony reached out to my inquiry to care for Bruno in the nick of time and after speaking with Anthony, I automatically felt at ease. Each day, Anthony communicated with me and sent videos on how Bruno was doing. I could see how happy he was being there and the one on one attention he was getting was very important to me especially since this was the first time Bruno has been away from the family. All in all I/we had a great experience with Anthony. I would highly recommend him and look forested to utilizing his services when we go away again. Thank you Anthony. I am telling my friends about you!!

Mark was fantastic in accommodations at the last minute for sunny and we were happy with the choice. He was always responsive whenever needed and Sunny looked like he had a great time. Will definitely be sending sunny back.

We have two English Cockers that recently had a one night stay with Bruce. He has a calming, gentle presence which was so important in making my dogs feel welcome, safe and secure. I received frequent updates and photos. Communication is excellent. I had no worries while they were in his care. I am in the process of rebooking them for a five night stay. 5 stars all the way.

Our experience with Elizabeth was fantastic from start to finish. The communication was awesome,. starting with our meet and greet and then drop off and pick up was so easy. Her frequent check-in’s with pictures showed us that our guy was being very well cared for. We would highly recommend Elizabeth and her services!

Zeus was well taken care of! Cassandra was so kind and sent pictures and updates of Zeus during the weekend. We didn’t have to worry too much. Zeus came back happy and well exercised. :)

Mari was incredible with our older pup Benji! We’ve never left him with anyone other than family before so we were very nervous but everything went amazingly. She took him on lots of walks and sent so many fun pictures and updates, it barely felt like we were away from him. He was extremely comfortable in her care and by the end really seemed to have grown attached to her. We will definitely be booking with her again in the future, highly recommend!!

Mariana was absolutely amazing with Paopao! Paopao was a bit nervous in the new environment at first and didn’t eat on the first day, but Mariana was incredibly patient and understanding. She gave her time to adjust, and by the second day Paopao was already eating normally again. She went above and beyond to make Paopao feel comfortable, she even used Google Translate to speak to her in Chinese, which I found so thoughtful and sweet 😊 Mariana also kept me updated with lots of photos and videos, which really gave me peace of mind while I was away. Overall, I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. Highly recommend her! Only problem I have is Paopao had too good of a time she didn’t seem to want to come home!

Stephanie is the best! I can tell that was dog was well taken care of and happy with Stephanie. She also sent me lots of updates and photos. I know that my dog was in good hands and I was so happy that she made new friends with Stephanie’s dogs as well. I would def book again!

Briana’s experience with rescue dogs is what drew us to her. Our pittie mix has some quirks and it can be difficult to find someone who we feel confident about working with him. She was very understanding of our care requests/instructions and made sure to ask questions if she needed clarification. We felt comfortable leaving our dog in her care and appreciated updates throughout his stay. He seemed happy at pickup so I’d say we have no complaints!! We’ll definitely work with Briana again :)

Amazing my dogs were well cared for and loved as if they were at home. Both Luci and her husband took excellent care of my two small dogs for a week and they came home happy and content. The dogs loved running in the back yard. This was the best Rover experience they are so kind and kept me updated with pictures and videos daily.

It looks like Fido had a great time with Chris and his dog Felix! I am seeing some positive behavior changes in my puppy after staying with Chris for 11 days. I appreciate it! I will definitely work with Chris in future.

Raeven has a genuine love for pets which shines through her charismatic personality. She sent us updates on how Venus was doing throughout the day, and even provided very helpful training tips to practice. We will definitely continue to book with Raeven!

We had such an amazing experience with Danielle and would 100% use her again. Our olds man is 16 and had a blast. Danielle constantly sent pictures and kept us updated. He was very sad to leave I will say. I would recommend Danielle and her Husband.

This was our 3rd time booking with Britanny, and her care of Ruby was exceptional as usual! She provided updates and photos of our happy pup everyday.

Liza watched my puppy for a weekend and she did a fantastic job! She provided quick responses and updates throughout the weekend. I would definitely book again with her!

Noemi and David took great care of our furbabies! We did a meet and greet the day before their overnight stay so the dogs (and parents) could meet our hosts and get a sense of the house. Noemi and David were welcoming and sweet with the dogs. They have a huge backyard for the dogs to run around. They were very responsive to questions and provided updates and pictures of the boys throughout their stay. We’re happy to have a second home for our boys whenever we are in Connecticut!

Davon took great care of Apollo, showed him a lot of love and was very responsive whenever I reached out to check how things were. I will book again next time I’m in the area
