Pet Sitting in South Windsor

What a treasure Rachel is! I just recently moved to South Windsor and unfortunately my last sitter could not make the travel, so I had to start the process of finding a new one two weeks before my trip. My cats are post-Covid pets and I work from home full time, so that is to say they are ALWAYS around me! Bc of their constant human presence I have a lot of anxiety about leaving them IIt’s not them, it’s me), so I was not totally surprised that the first two novella-length anxiety purge sitting requests I sent declined instantly lol. Rachel was undeterred though, and accepted the daunt of my manifesto. She showed up right on time for meet and greet, despite a thunder and lightning downpour! She impressed me instantly with her positive attitude and polite demeanor, and as I was walking her around the house showing her things, she recalled details from my email that I had forgotten I wrote. Incredible!! I felt at ease right away. The sit went flawlessly. She has a gift, and my two single-human-bonded girls warmed up to her right away, coming out to see her upon arrival and staying during her sit for treats and play and PLAY SHE DID! Let me assure you - she uses the time to actually entertain them instead of just “sitting.” She also went above and beyond elsewhere; going down to the basement to clean up litter-robot tossings (totally on her own volition!), brought my trash bins up to the curb, and brought in my mail for me. I had also mentioned that I have cameras in the house to keep an eye on the cats if needed, and gave her permission to unlplug them during her stay if they made her uncomfortable but she did not; which says a heck of a lot about her character. I’m so thankful she yes’d me after the two immediate no’s. She put my mind at complete ease. I didn’t even feel compelled to check on the cameras at all - in every photo she sent the girls looked happy and engaged, and her updates were concise and useful. She gave me my vacation back and I’m submitting another request as soon as I click “post.”

We were nervous to use Rover for the first time as we recently moved but Karinna put us at ease. She walked us through how everything works and how diligently she documents everything.

Thank you Mariah for your capable and caring way with our dog who is a handful on the best of days. You were on time, alert to any changes in feeding schedule, happy to give him lots of exercise and conscientious about keeping in touch--all during a heat wave. Our pup looks forward to seeing you soon.

Callan was timely and very communicative. We will definitely book him again!

Jalah was wonderful with our pets. She took care of our chickens, ducks as well as our indoor cats and our dog for one day. She sent me daily updates and went above and beyond for my babies. Will definitely be booking her again. Thank you!!

Andrea did well, she was very dependable and did a great job taking care of our dogs while we were out of town.

Annie was extremely graceful with my Blue, and I am deeply grateful that she took care of my Blue on short notice.

Jesey was very friendly, easy to work with and took excellent care of my cats. Next time I go away I'll be calling him again. Highly reccomend.

Jessica and her husband were AMAZING! This was our first time using the Rover app, and we couldn’t be more pleased. We have a pitbull and a Great Dane, two dogs that aren’t the easiest to find sitters for, but Jessica and her husband were kind, patient, and more than willing to care for our babies. They sent us photos and kept us up to date on their food and potty habits. They also took the time to play with them and give them plenty of TLC. Anytime we go away, we will look to have Jessica and her husband watch our pups!

Heather was a perfect match for our pup. The smiling photo told us all we needed to know! We will definitely work with Heather again and recommend her to others.

Erin took great care of my kitties for past 4 days and they were happy in the pictures she sent daily. And happy to see me when I got home. Thanks ?

Eve is phenomenal when she looks in on my cat! She always follows the instructions I leave and sends tons of photos and videos of them playing! Will definitely rebook in the future!

Rebecca did a very good job house sitting our very anxious and sometimes difficult and stubborn dog. She communicates well and provides lots of photo and video updates.

Tiarra was great with our mature pet who had never been in anyone’s care other than family. We plan to use her again for Corey.
