Dog Boarding in Winsted

Our dog Sancho is a very sweet, shy guy who rarely feels comfortable outside those in his family, but Karina made him feel right at home. She took the time to let him be himself, and we are so grateful to find someone we can trust to take care of him and give him the love and attention he enjoys.

My dog had the best vacation with Alan, Luis and Simba, along with the other new friends he was introduced to during his stay. It was such a great feeling to know he was loved and cared for while I was away, and I loooked forward to the daily check ins and pictures, made me so happy and comfortable and able to enjoy my time away with my human family. ♥️

Kristina and Jordan are a DREAM. We have the most high maintenance senior pup, and they took such amazing care of him, catering to his every need and ridiculous whim. I’ve never felt more comfortable leaving him with anyone before. They went above and beyond at every turn! The consistent communication and pictures were the cherry on top. I’m so grateful to them and would recommend them to anyone who wants the best care for their pup. Dog people to their core, and they will love yours as much as you do.

As always, Mr. Darcy had a wonderful time with John and Dolly, came home happy and tired! We feel so confident leaving him there, nothing to worry about while on vacation

NICOKE WAS THE BEST SHE KEPT ME UPDATED DAILY ON WHAT MY DOG WAS DOING I GOT PICTURES EVERY DAY & SHE EVEN CUT MY DOGS NAIIS FOR ME . I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND USING HER I WAS SO SCARED LEAVING MY DOG FOR THE FIRST TIME SHE MADE ME FEEL SO MUCH BETTER GIVING ME A UPDATE EVERY 3 hrs . I WILL DEFINITELY BE USING NICOLE AGAIN

My pup always gets tons of 1-on-1 attention, and I get daily photos of her playing, chewing her toys, and getting loved on by the whole family. Highly recommend Angela and Tommy and have used them multiple times, and will continue to do so. Zelda always seems thrilled to arrive to their house, and I'm thrilled to trust someone to care for her.

Katie is absolutely amazing!!! Lincoln had an amazing time while in her care and came back to us happy and full of energy!!! This is very different from when we’ve used traditional boarding in the past. She remained in constant contact and responded to any messages instantly!!! 10 or 10 we will utilize her services again the next time we need to leave Lincoln for any amount of time as well as maybe use her for daycare in the future too.

Kathryn, Jeremy, and their kids were wonderful with Maple! She immediately felt comfortable with the family and had the best time. She received constant love and attention and I received frequent photos and updates. I will definitely use Kathryn and Jeremy again in the future!

Maria and Terry gave Roscoe all the love we could possibly hope for. Their big, fenced yard, two well-mannered labs and eager ball-throwing meant that our boy came home happy and exhausted. Maria kept us updated via Rover and a couple of great pictures, and we'll definitely be sending Roscoe back when we go out of town.

First time with Gail and she made us feel comfortable from the start. Took the time to do a meet and greet and Gracie got along with Ginger instantly. Gail was honest upfront about the dogs Gracie would be around in the household. Got multiple updates during our trip away so we knew Gracie was in good hands. Definitely will consider Gail when we’re out of town again!!

As usual, Mary Ann took exceptional care of our elderly dog during a recent week-long trip that we took (I think this is our 4th of 5th time working with Mary Ann). There is no one we trust more with our dog’s care, and the praise I have for Mary Ann is endless. She is kind, thoughtful, and comprehensive in her approach to animal sitting. She keeps a tidy home and has a lovely fenced-in yard which makes our dog feel right at home. Cannot recommend Mary Ann enough!

Klaudia took fantastic care of Fergie. She kept me updated and I didn’t worry about Fergie once while I was gone. I will definitely rebook in the future!

If I could give James and Rachel more than five stars, I absolutely would. This was Porter's first time ever staying away from home. He's an older Chocolate Lab who has never been boarded, so I was naturally a little nervous. James and Rachel immediately put both of us at ease. They welcomed Porter into their home as if he were part of the family. He received so much love, attention, and affection—which is exactly what a needy Lab hopes for! He especially enjoyed being in a real family environment, spending time around the kids, and simply being part of the daily routine instead of feeling like he was being "boarded." I received updates that reassured me he was doing well, and it was obvious he was happy, comfortable, and well cared for. In fact, I think Porter may have been a little disappointed to come home after all the extra attention he received! I can't recommend James and Rachel highly enough. If you're looking for kind, trustworthy people who will genuinely care for your dog like one of their own, you won't find better. Thank you both for taking such wonderful care of Porter—we will absolutely book with you again!

Jill & Sean made me feel comfortable about leaving my dog Calie for the first time ever Jill sent me a photo of Calie in her bed sleeping only about 1.5 hours into my 5 hour drive to our vacation destination! When I saw that my heart just went from an almost broken feeling , “like leaving a child behind”. To almost instant relief!! We were in touch throughout our 2 week trip and received many photos and updates daily and sometimes more From Jill! Calie had 3 new dog friends to play with and 2 teenagers to cuddle with at bedtime! She was able to win Sean over and he wanted to know if he could keep Calie!😊💕 Calie had a ball at Jill & Sean’s place we even found out she loves chasing chickens 🐔!! Calie has been home now 3 days and she has slept MOST of the time!!! She’s exhausted, it’s so funny to she her this tired!! She’s usually following my EVERY step!! So in closing, both Calie & I recommend Jill & Sean on Rover.com

I cannot recommend Adrienne enough! She took care of my French Bulldog puppy, Kimchi, all day, and I could tell my pup had the best time. Not only did she provide attentive, loving care, but she also went the extra mile by taking her to the dog park for some fun and socialization! Throughout the day, Adrienne kept me updated with adorable photos and messages, giving me total peace of mind. When I picked up my pup, she was happy, well-cared for, and totally tuckered out from all the playtime—exactly what I hoped for! I never think twice about booking with Heather. She has a great fenced in back yard, my dogs come home tired after playing with friends and snuggling on the couch. I get pictures and video updates. Will use again in the future!

Christle was amazing with our Shih-Tzu, Smudge. She provided regular updates and photos, was very helpful and accommodating for some special needs and he was very happy when I picked him up. We will absolutely be coming back to Christle for future dog sitting!

Inam and Jennifer have been so kind with Milou! They are so patient with the puppies *and* the owners. We left Milou with them for almost a week and he came back clean, healthy and happy! Maybe a bit tired from playing with all of the other dogs.

Haoran was AMAZING!! Her and her friendly pup made my pup feel so welcomed and loved. It was the first time leaving my dog since getting him as a baby and he was very nervous so they made him feel cared for. Haoran checked in daily, provided pictures and videos, gave treats and many walks/playtime which helped us enjoy our trip even more! I definitely recommend her to anyone in need for a sweet sitter 😊
