Dog Boarding in Makawao

It was my first time boarding my two senior Staffies, so I was pretty nervous about leaving them with someone I didn’t know. Trusting someone else with their care wasn’t easy for me. After reading Wanda and Lonnie’s profile and amazing reviews, I felt reassured enough to reach out. I told them how anxious I was, and Wanda responded right away with so much kindness and reassurance. From that very first message, I could feel the love and care they have, not just for dogs, but for the people who trust them. Wanda and Lonnie are truly the most loving, genuine people, and words don’t fully capture how special they are. They didn’t just “watch” our dogs, they embraced them like their own, showering them with affection, patience, and attention. Every photo and update meant so much to me. Seeing my babies so relaxed, comfortable, and happy completely eased my heart. You could feel the warmth in everything they did, from their walks, to even letting them experience meeting their sheep’s. It wasn’t just care, it was love. When we picked them up, I got emotional seeing Zira and Lilo go up to Wanda and Lonnie, clearly not ready to leave, as if they were saying thank you and goodbye to family. That moment meant the world to me, it showed just how safe, loved, and happy they felt during their stay. I’m beyond grateful we found Wanda and Lonnie. They gave me peace of mind, and more importantly, they gave my dogs a home filled with love while we were away. Mahalo, Mahalo, Mahalo Wanda & Lonnie!❤️ 🥰🐾🐾

I was very pleased with the quality of care Shanelle provided for my pup, Rye.He even made a good pal with their pup , Birdy , who was like a good big sister to him. I thought it was sweet that they even put a little fan for him in the room where he was sleeping in his crate, ( his safe place).she has a spacious back in ard area where he could run around and play and they are almost Pau, building a kenneled area too.I will definitely be using her again in the near future . Nice to know there is a worry free place for my boy , when I need to travel. ❤️ 🐕

Carrie and Jonathan were wonderful! Zero had a great time with them and I knew he was in good hands. 10/10 would definitely recommend.

Leah was great with our dog and with communication throughout the whole stay. From our first meet and greet to our final pickup Leah could not have made things any easier. Mahalo

Randi is the Best dog sitter ever! She is a very attentive, sweet, person and cares for our pug like her own. This is our second time using her and each time we visit Greenville, we will definitely see if she is available. I strongly recommend Randi C. to care for your furbaby.

Madison was amazing! Tater Tot was busy with Madison playing in the backyard and being loved. Tater's tail was happily wagging in all videos and photos. Upon pick up - Madison had everything nicely packed up and ready for easy hand off. Will absolutely use Madison again.

Casey was very kind and caring. He was super easy to communicate with and responses were always fast. He even went out of his way to pick up our puppy from our house in Wailuku so we didn’t have to drop her off to Kīhei. You can tell he and his wife really love the dogs they care for. We have a mini dachshund puppy and we were touched to find out they had 2 of their own sausage dogs that lived long lives and have sadly passed. However, I knew our pup would be loved and was in good hands. I’m happy we found experienced wiener dog lovers who can watch ours if we ever need. Mahalo Casey!

Bridget and fam has provided consistently thoughtful, attentive care for Einstein across multiple stays. He has ongoing medical needs and a detailed routine, and everything is handled with patience and clarity. His meals and medications are managed smoothly, communication is steady, and he returns home calm and well cared for. That level of consistency and reliability matters to us. Bridget and Tiger have earned our trust, and we truly appreciate them!

Katherine and her partner Jordan are amazing! Super friendly and easy communication. My pups loved their stay at Jurassic Bark! Nice property and multiple fenced grass areas for them to play. I received check ins and videos of my pups which gave me peace of mind that they were enjoying themselves. They can’t wait to go back! Mahalo!

My dog is an older dog with really high anxiety and TeMehani and Jolene were very attentive and caring with her and extremely communicative. They very sweetly set her up with a bed to sleep in and took her with them on car rides and walks, which is just what she needs when she’s apart from me. I’m so grateful to have had a place for my dog that felt reassuring and where she got the quality of care she needed.

We had recently adopted a dog but had to go away for a quick trip and Farah was wonderful at putting both our new puppy girl and myself at ease :). Thanks so much Farah!

Diann was great! She sent photos and offered pick up from Maui airport, which was hugely helpful. She fosters dogs and has lots of experience with different dogs. Our millie loved being with other dogs. She even gave us a harness Millie liked!!!

Rochelle is wonderful! My dog is a little anxious when I leave him. I knew he had a good weekend when he was calm and relaxed the night I brought him home. Rochelle must’ve given him lots of love and attention. I’m so grateful!

We are so grateful we found Nicole! Our usual sitter canceled right before a trip, and with our senior dog being such an important part of our family, we were nervous about leaving him with someone we didn’t know. From the start, Nicole was responsive, kind, and reassuring. She kept us updated with messages and photos, took him on hikes, and treated him with so much care and attention. It was clear he was happy, comfortable, and well loved while we were away. Knowing he was in such good hands gave us complete peace of mind and allowed our family to truly enjoy our vacation.
