Dog Boarding in Makawao

It was my first time boarding my two senior Staffies, so I was pretty nervous about leaving them with someone I didn’t know. Trusting someone else with their care wasn’t easy for me. After reading Wanda and Lonnie’s profile and amazing reviews, I felt reassured enough to reach out. I told them how anxious I was, and Wanda responded right away with so much kindness and reassurance. From that very first message, I could feel the love and care they have, not just for dogs, but for the people who trust them. Wanda and Lonnie are truly the most loving, genuine people, and words don’t fully capture how special they are. They didn’t just “watch” our dogs, they embraced them like their own, showering them with affection, patience, and attention. Every photo and update meant so much to me. Seeing my babies so relaxed, comfortable, and happy completely eased my heart. You could feel the warmth in everything they did, from their walks, to even letting them experience meeting their sheep’s. It wasn’t just care, it was love. When we picked them up, I got emotional seeing Zira and Lilo go up to Wanda and Lonnie, clearly not ready to leave, as if they were saying thank you and goodbye to family. That moment meant the world to me, it showed just how safe, loved, and happy they felt during their stay. I’m beyond grateful we found Wanda and Lonnie. They gave me peace of mind, and more importantly, they gave my dogs a home filled with love while we were away. Mahalo, Mahalo, Mahalo Wanda & Lonnie!❤️ 🥰🐾🐾

Mellie loved her stay! We enjoyed getting so many pictures and updates of her throughout the week. She had a so much fun, and will be back soon.

Brownie’s stay here was amazing! Madison made sure that our dog got her medication and we could tell that Brownie was happy when we picked her up. They have a great setup with a long leash to help dogs get out their energy during their stay as well which is a huge plus 👌

We are repeat customers because they truly are 5-Star sitters. The girls always come back so calm and relaxed. This was the longest we have ever left our dogs and they did such a wonderful job of giving us updates to make us feel comfortable. I seriously can’t recommend them enough! We will absolutely book with them again.

Diann was great! She sent photos and offered pick up from Maui airport, which was hugely helpful. She fosters dogs and has lots of experience with different dogs. Our millie loved being with other dogs. She even gave us a harness Millie liked!!!

With my last minute trip to visit my mom for Mother’s Day Shanelle took in my fur babies with such short notice!! Kiddos came home and back to normal with us! Appreciate your awesome work and accommodation!!

Carrie and Jonathan were wonderful! Zero had a great time with them and I knew he was in good hands. 10/10 would definitely recommend.

My husband and I are obsessed with our dog and are always so anxious when we leave her behind to travel, so Jurassic Bark has been such a blessing! After her first stay with them, Sandy (our dog) recognized where we were going in the car ride over and got so excited! Jurassic Bark is like doggy summer camp and she had so much fun playing with the other dogs and spending time with the awesome owners. I would definitely recommend this place to any dog owner, especially if your dog loves play time with other dogs!

Daria is responsive and communicates often. It’s always hard to leave your pet with someone new. But, she goes above and beyond to make you and your pet feel safe. She also sends like of photo updates and is not afraid to ask questions to ensure that your pet has a comfortable and safe visit. Highly recommend!

We are so grateful we found Nicole! Our usual sitter canceled right before a trip, and with our senior dog being such an important part of our family, we were nervous about leaving him with someone we didn’t know. From the start, Nicole was responsive, kind, and reassuring. She kept us updated with messages and photos, took him on hikes, and treated him with so much care and attention. It was clear he was happy, comfortable, and well loved while we were away. Knowing he was in such good hands gave us complete peace of mind and allowed our family to truly enjoy our vacation. We would highly recommend Nicole and would happily trust her with our dog again in the future.

Johnathan took amazing care of our pup Miley! He sent daily pictures to reassure us that Miley was in good hands. When we picked Miley up you could tell she had really bonded with him. We will definitely book with him again!

She was a wonderful sitter who gave lots of one-on-one attention to our very large, loving, neurotic Great Dane. We received daily pictures and updates, which were great. She is very caring and sweet. Highly recommend.

Rochelle is wonderful! My dog is a little anxious when I leave him. I knew he had a good weekend when he was calm and relaxed the night I brought him home. Rochelle must’ve given him lots of love and attention. I’m so grateful!
