Dog Boarding in Lake Bluff

Byron G. is a very kind person with a family and a warm home. He took excellent care of my Chihuahua; my dog stayed with him for three days, and during that time, he kept us informed about what our puppy was doing by sending photos and constant updates. He even managed to get him socializing with other puppies—something I hadn't seen before. I definitely recommend him.

Our original dog sitter fell through two days before we needed to leave on a business trip and I decided to look on Rover.com to see if anyone matched my mine/my dogs' needs. I had reviewed other options, such as a family member coming in several times a day and local, larger dog boarding facilities and I just knew that neither of these situations was going to work for me or my dogs. We have a pair of 3 year old Shih-Tzu's who are used to being around me all day (including at work and at bedtime) and I wanted them to have more personal attention. I found Patricia on Rover.com and she was miraculously available on such short notice. After contacting her and then speaking with her, I felt I had found a home care provider where Max and Maizy could feel comfortable (and less lost and overwhelmed). I was initially nervous to leave them in a new and unfamiliar situation (especially without the usual meet and greet beforehand...due to the short booking notice). However, upon meeting with Patricia, I knew I had found a warm and relaxed person to care for our dogs. Her house was great, very dog centered and they were welcome to sniff everywhere and get acclimated right away. They stayed with her for 5 nights, and I'm positive they were happy to be with a dog loving individual in a home. I was so happy to see how comfortable they were in the photos she sent. I'm very relieved to have found an excellent dog sitter through this site. We will be using her again! I think it is really important to read the reviews, talk with the dog sitter, and then do a pre-stay meet and greet with the selected dog sitter. It's good to see the house set up in advance, and also observe how the sitter interacts with your dog. It is also very important to fill out the profile on your pet as completely as possible.

We loved having Dee welcome Abby into her home! The care she gave Abby was fantastic. We received pictures and a video confirming that Abby was doing well. Dee love of dogs is so obvious. We would definitely make a return visit to Dee for boarding.

Jennifer did a great job taking care of our pups for a long weekend! Easy communication and plenty of pictures so we wouldn’t miss the fur babies too much!

Yesenia is such a sweetheart, I was so nervous with leaving my puppios because I wasn’t sure how ppl will take 3 pit bulls. But Yesenia was a superstar with them and they obviously loved her. She takes really awesome pics too, THANK YOU FOR CALMING MY CRAZY MIND😂❤️

Kim was fantastic! I have two older dogs that require medication and she was great with them. Very communicative throughout and provides lots of pictures of them enjoying their stay. I knew my dogs were in good hands and being treated as if they were here own. Would definitely recommend Kim and use her again!

Chisato was fantastic with our dog! We received lots of pics and videos on her stay. Our dog seemed very happy there, and was given lots of playtime and walks. I would definitely recommend Chisato and will use her in the future.

This was my pup’s only second boarding experience and Jacob took wonderful care of my girl. During her stay Marnie was lucky enough to be able to socialize with other pups and I’m sure it was heaven for her. Jacob sent pictures every day and was always so responsive with texts and any questions I had. Wonderful stay.. hope to be able to book again with Jacob and Murphy. Thank you!

Matt was just incredible. Perfect home away from home for Zuka. My girl Zuka is half Otter Hound and half Airedale, so she is a big pooch. His own dogs were both friendly and energetic offering Zuka tons of playtime. Matt was great to check in with us un prompted to let us know that all was well in Zuka’s world. He sent pictures as well as immediate follow-ups. I would recommend Matt to anyone who wants a safe, experienced, fun-loving dog sitter.

My French bulldog fell head over heels for Mary and Norman. I was actually worried she wouldn’t want to come back home with me! Thankfully she did, and she will definitely be going back to visit Mary and Norm!

Christy was fantastic! My wife and I were pretty nervous going into this seeing how Chase has pretty bad separation anxiety... but with Christy, he warmed up right away. It wasn’t long after we were gone and she began to send us photos of our boy enjoying himself which helped to ease our nerves. She was very responsive and easy to communicate with. When we picked Chase up he was dead tired and slept like a baby. We’ll definitely use Christy again in the future. Highly recommended!

Hannah was amazing while she watched our dog Winnie for several nights. She was flexible with scheduling and provided text updates and pictures. Winnie had a blast and came home tired from all her playing! We will be booking again soon!

Julie did an amazing job with Bella! She was very friendly and Bella loved both her and her other dogs. While I was away, she sent multiple updates and was always available. I would highly recommend her to anyone!

Gvido and family took just excellent care of my girls. Really went above and beyond with walks and fun girls trips. So happy my girls received loving care in this beautiful home. Highly recommend!

Megan was great to work with through getting to know each other to the love and care she gave to our dog during his stay to her communication and sharing how she helped Rocky get acclimated to her dogs. So awesome to work with. Thank you Megan!

Veronique took wonderful care of my little dog, Nutella, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. She was very friendly, attentive, and clearly has a natural way with animals. Nutella enjoyed her company, the new friends she made, and the fun walks they went on together. It gave me peace of mind knowing she was in such good hands. I highly recommend Veronique to anyone looking for a caring and reliable pet sitter!

Nicole was so great! Bruno had a great time with her. We were away for a week and Nicole sent me updates and pics of Bruno the whole week. We were happy to see that he was so happy while we were away. Thank you so much Nicole!!
