Dog Boarding in Richmond

Deanne was a new sitter for us. We did a meet and greet to make sure Taisho was a good fit, which he was. This was a two-night stay, and Deanne was super flexible about drop-off and pickup times. She sent pictures and updates throughout his stay, which I really appreciated. He doesn't really interact with other dogs, preferring to just snuggle with people, but he got along well with the other dogs and loved playing in the new snow. He fell asleep on the way home - always a good sign! Deanne was great - we've already booked her for another stay!

From the moment I left, I felt complete peace knowing they were in loving, capable hands. Not only was Danielle attentive and patient, but she went above and beyond while babysitting my dogs—making sure they were comfortable, well cared for, and showered with affection. It’s rare to find someone you trust completely with your fur babies, and she exceeded every expectation. I am beyond grateful for her kindness, reliability, and genuine love for animals. I would recommend her without hesitation to anyone looking for exceptional care.

Alicia did a wonderful job again with Barkley! She takes him for walks and plays with him like he’s a part of the family. Great dog sitter for your furbaby 🥰 Thank you so much for taking such good care of him!

We couldn’t have been more relaxed knowing that Kim was taking great care of Penny. Kim sent updates and pictures often. Penny looked right at home. Kim accommodated Pennys love of sitting up high. Kim cleared off her bay window so that Penny could sit or lay and watch the squirrels and neighbors. I would highly recommend Kim to care for your pets❤️

We both had to travel for work and needed a place for our dog, Olive, to stay. We set up an initial visit with Rachel so our dog could get used to the temporary stay (as she tends to be an anxious pup). Olive went right in and had a great time. During her stay, she played in the large, fenced in yard and snuggled at night. Rachel, thank you for putting us at ease while looking after Olive. We’ll be back! Becky & Greg & Olive

Stella was so great with my Buddy that he was her favorite pal while I was gone! She was patient my dog and his separation anxiety! She sent updates and made me feel comfortable with his stay! I recommend her for anyone looking for dog boarding/sitting!

Byron and family took incredible care of our dog! I was nervous because she doesn't always get along with other dogs but warmed up to the other dogs immediately with the help of their family! We got updates and pictures and never once had to worry about our dog. We'll for sure be using them again.

Norma is fantastic!!! This was our first time using Rover.com - (found it by doing a Google search just days before our scheduled trip when all of our other dogsitters fell through! Yikes!) - and we couldn't have been more surprised by how easy it was to use. Norma responded to our request right away, and even offered to let us bring our dog, Russell, over to meet hers before the trip. She has a very friendly lab who loves to play with other dogs, and Russell couldn't have been happier. Norma was very accommodating, and her love for dogs was immediately apparent. While we were on our trip, she took the time to send us little messages and pictures of Russell playing with hers, and we loved being able to see how he was doing. Norma has a very gentle, laid-back demeanor, and there was not one minute that we felt nervous to have our dog in her care. When we came to pick him up, he was excited to see us, but didn't want to leave. We feel so lucky to have found Norma! From now on, she'll be our go-to sitter! Highly recommend!!!

Jacob was amazing with our pup and such a great communicator! We loved getting our daily update and pictures.. Basil really misses Murphy and Jacob!! Highly recommend Jacob and will definitely be contacting him again to watch our pup..

This was my first time leaving both dogs with a stranger for a two week period. Tony gave good care and a good price. Tony has three little girls who gave my girls the extra love they enjoy. He sent photos and communicated every day. He is compassionate and kind. I would use him again.

June ALWAYS takes such great care of our pups. She sends daily updates including pictures and they always come back very happy and relaxed! I feel like she treats them as part of her family. Highly recommend June:)

Benni stayed with Elena while we were in Wisconsin. The minute we walked in for the meet and greet, Elena greeted us warmly with her toddler son. My mind was set at ease knowing this would and will be a great place for Benni to stay. Elena kept me updated with texts, pictures and even a video. Benni was definitely spoiled with all the love and care! I feel so Blessed to have found Elena and her son! We already booked Benni again and adding another one in the near future! Don’t hesitate to use Elena! Your dog will come home content and tired!

Megan was awesome! With regular updates and pictures I was always in the know about my fur baby. The initial meeting to determine fit went very well, I instantly developed a strong trust in Megan and knew Mac was in a safe place where he'd have fun and be taken care of. He had a blast and will be back! Thank you Megan, Maisie, Maya and Madden.

My 8.5 year old English Bulldog suffers from anxiety and has some special daily routine and care needs that make it difficult for me to leave her with others outside of family. Thanks to Rover, I found Debbie and her entire family who just knew how to care for my fur baby. All the glowing reviews here are true — Daisy stayed with them for 8 nights and my own anxieties of leaving her for my work travel melted away from our meet and greet alone. Debbie and her family are genuinely warm, detail oriented, reassuring and follow through daily with photo and text updates on how Daisy was doing. They even introduced Daisy to their friendly cat, Loki, who also seems to have magical powers over Daisy. I have never seen her get along so well with another pet and there was she was befriending someone who seems to have mellowed her anxious ways down. It’s been a few days now since I’ve had Daisy back and the change in her is amazing. She has mellowed out tremendously that I don’t even have to give her cbd oil nor treats anymore to help calm her down. She now has a calm demeanor to her! I swear, Debbie and her family are like dog whisperers! Thank you, Debbie, and your family for loving on and caring for Daisy. You are a healer. She will be back for sure!

Angela took care of our puppy, Bandit, for almost a month!! She updated me even when I forgot to check in and I had no doubts leaving my little buddy with her! She even helped with potty training :) I will definitely be bringing Bandit back!

This was our first time using Rover and leaving our dog for a longer time. Kim and family made the process so wonderful. From the meet and greet all the way through his stay they communicated so well and sent pictures. We felt so at peace that our dog would be well cared for and never worried about him while on vacation. He came home happy and I think a little bit sad he couldn’t play longer! So thankful and pleased with the care and service we received!

Rui had so much fun staying with Emily and her family! I got plenty of updates throughout the week too. I’m so thankful for Emily and the kindness she gave Rui throughout his stay.

Sabrina was FANTASTIC! She watched our dogs for five days while we were away and I could not be happier! Our dogs can be a little shy and scared in new places and with new people, but Sabrina was wonderful with them! She made them feel so loved and cared for and was an absolute joy to work with! We can’t wait to go on more trips now that we have someone we trust to watch the two pups!
