Cat Sitting in Essex

Tyler was wonderful! Our 2 cats have pretty basic needs, but they do not like strangers and we had never left them alone with a non-family member, so we were apprehensive about taking a week-long international trip. When we met with Tyler we emphasized that it wasn’t unexpected for him not to see the cats at all when he came by to feed them, and that he didn’t need to try to find them or stay and spend time with them if they didn’t want to come out. Imagine our surprise when we got a video from him the very first night with our big orange scaredy-cat rubbing up against him! Even our suspicious little tabby girl, who’s often skittish even around US, felt comfortable enough to walk into the kitchen and eat her food while Tyler was still there. He sent us a video or a photo or 2 each visit along with a quick update on how the cats were doing, which was perfect; we got peace of mind without distraction from our trip. We agonized for literally months over how we would arrange cat care after moving further away from our families, but now we know that we will be booking with Tyler any time we take a trip! It’s an enormous relief to have someone we can trust and that the cats actually feel comfortable with. Tyler is a lifesaver and we can’t recommend him highly enough!

Henry was terrific! Great communication, photos and videos, and flexibility! He was a pleasure to deal with and my cat, who is nervous around men, adjusted to him well. I would definitely recommend Henry.

Jacquelyn did a great job taking care of my kitten on his first time alone. She followed all instructions exactly, kept in contact with any changes, and took great photos of him playing with her. It was such a relief to know he was safe and happy with her while we were gone.

Vanessa was fantastic! She took wonderful care of our cats, spent time playing or snuggling or chatting with them depending on what they wanted. Our nervous cat warmed up to her pretty quickly and she won the other one over with treats and head scratches. She is thorough, conscientious, friendly and seems to really enjoy spending time with the kitties. Would definitely recommend and will definitely book again!

Beth cared for our kitties while we were away and did everything we asked. Our shy cat even warmed up to her. You can tell she is an animal lover! Looking forward to having her cat-sit in the future.

Kerry is a star! Our first time using Rover, and we were a little nervous to leave our kitties for a whole week. She was a great communicator, sent lots of pics and gave our cats lots of love. Highly recommend!

We’re always a but worried leaving our furry friends behind when we travel. But Jessica kept our worries at bay, and did an excellent job looking after our kitties! She provided updates each day and was even able to get our shy kitties to open up to her! We’ll definitely book again and are so grateful for all of her help!

Jordyn was extremely easy to work with and understanding when circumstance changed. Wish we’d been able to complete our reservation with her as scheduled, but again, appreciate her humanity and understanding when we needed to cancel. Round recommend Jordyn to be others, wholeheartedly.

Shawna has been a great help to me! She is caring, conscientious, and trustworthy. I can wholeheartedly recommend her.

Alicia took wonderful care of my senior kitty! She paid attention to what Misti likes and doesn't like, and didn't push her when she'd had enough. Alicia came when she said she would, stayed the full time or even a little more, was kind enough to bring in the mail and newspapers, was excellent at communicating with me, and is just a genuinely nice person with an evident love of animals and wildlife.
