Cat Sitting in New Salem

Kiersten did such a wonderful job of caring for our four cats while we were away! She arrived on time, well prepared for her stay at our home. I was immediately at ease with her, and could see that our cats were too. She sent photo updates each day, which was a comfort to us as we traveled, and the cats looked great and very relaxed with her. Most surprising for us was that our very energetic and sometimes anxious newest cat, who arrived just a few months ago, really loved being with Kiersten, and he very soon got cozy with her! He was just beginning to relax with us but hadn't yet even begun to sit on my lap when I left. Our eldest cat also clearly loved being with her! He's very unique and emotionally complex, and doesn't always relate so easily with people. We are very grateful for her attentive care to our precious cats, and highly recommend her services. We would be happy to work with her again!

We asked Natalie to drop in on our two cats while away for a couple of weeks. Natalie quickly assessed and understood the differing needs and habits of our two indoor/outdoor cats. From her photo updates, they clearly felt comfortable and happy with her. Upon our return after two weeks, both boys were in good health and in good spirits! Thanks!

Amanda has been amazing! She’s done a couple of drop-ins for me to give my cat her medication, and did a long weekend stay at my house. She left my place in the same state it was in when I left, and provided updates at the end of each visit.

Natalya was very caring of our cat Percy, and made time to play with her and send lots of updates. She also was very flexible and attentive during schedule changes due to a winter storm, including coming in the late evening when the roads were clear. Natalya was a great communicator with me and I would absolutely request her again and recommend her!

Emily did a wonderful job with our special needs cat, Dakota. Dakota is paralyzed in the back after having been hit by a car years ago. He gets around ok dragging his back legs but he has to have his bladder expressed three times a day. Emily had experience doing this in the past (I think in some kind of vet assistant capacity or something like that) and successfully managed Dakota when we went out of town for a few days. Dakota stayed at Emily's house with her cats and it all worked out fine. Emily's house is so cat friendly with cat climbing things all around and Emily even mentioned that down the road she might have cat grass (that our cat loves to eat) since she grows it herself. We were also happy that Emily was fine with us leaving all Dakota's regular collection of favorite things: his little cat house, cat bed, and even the ramp we made for him to climb up on couches. It was so nice for us to think of Dakota in a friendly home rather than in a cage at the vet. We loved how Emily was great about communicating both in terms of photos showing Dakota was doing well and also asking intelligent questions to make sure the expressing of the bladder was going well. When we picked Dakota up, he was in fine shape and clearly had been well-taken-care of. We'll definitely use Emily again!

Kendra was wonderful! Very responsive and took great care of our cats while we were away on fairly short notice. We loved all the pictures she sent each day and she even offered to scoop the litter box even though we had not asked her to do so. Thanks again, Kendra!

Ria is such a dependable and wonderful pet sitter! Lily, our cat loves her, and I feel at peace knowing Ria is watching her when we’re out. I can’t believe the amazing photos she gets of Lily when she visits her. She sends detailed updates for each visit and is always very punctual and responsive leading up to the drop in visits as well as during. I can’t recommend Ria enough!
