Dog Boarding in South Barre

Melissa and her family are amazing! We were able to meet her and the family and dogs before we left our girls with her so we were very comfortable being away and knowing they were well taken care of. One of our girls is normally takes a while to warm up to people and is skittish around boys but was attached to Melissa's son. It was wonderful to get so many pictures of happy dogs while we were gone. The fenced yard made us comfortable that there was nothing to worry about and the girls came home exhausted from all of the play! I would recommend Melissa to anyone looking for dog care!

Mason had a wonderful stay with Michael! It was my first time using Rover and I felt very comfortable leaving my pup with Michael, I will book again with Michael and recommend his services to others

Tracee was absolutely amazing with our dog, Mochi, who usually struggles with separation anxiety. She kept us updated with photos of Mochi having a great time and playing happily with her dog, Rigby. It was such a relief to know Mochi was not only relaxed but also eating well and enjoying herself. Tracee’s care and kindness made a huge difference, and we could tell she genuinely loved having Mochi. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter!

Pippa is always so excited to spend time with Andreana and Milo. She always comes home happy and tired from all that playtime. I am so grateful for the care and love my girl receives.

Josie (and her parents!) were wonderful with my dog, Milo. It was my first time using the Rover app, but they were always communicative, kind, flexible and kept me updated about Milo’s stay. They even sent pictures too, which eased my mind. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for a responsible sitter!

Judy was a fantastic dog sitter! She sent us daily updates letting us know what Cooper was up to and included pictures! This was our first time leaving our dog with anyone other than a family member and she made us feel extremely comfortable leaving Cooper for the weekend. We can tell Cooper had a blast playing with Rosie in the yard and going on walks! I would highly recommend Judy and her family!

Excellent experience. Briana does a fantastic job sending photos and updates. My puppy had a wonderful time playing in her big backyard and hanging with the other dogs.

Melissa and her family took exquisite care of my anxious but lovey dog, Lacey. As a first timer, I was (as it turned out needlessly) worried about separation anxiety, but Lacey became (temporarily) a part of their family, and all was well. Highest of recommendations. Can’t wait to use their services again soon.

Tamara and her family took such good care of our dogs and both dogs acclimated quickly, ate, played and slept well, especially one of my dogs who runs on the anxious side and doesn’t eat well when away from us. Very thankful that our “puppies” had such a great experience.

Emily was great with our anxious dog! She was patient and understanding. I appreciated all the updates and pictures/videos. We would ask her again to watch Zeus!

Summer was super responsive with everything we asked. She sent pics of our Husky Balto within minutes of our request also a video of him fetching a ball in her large fenced in yard We will definitely use her again to take care of our fur baby Balto.

Everything about Vita's stay with Luiz and his family was perfect!! Vita is newly adopted and is timid and shy. I was so impressed with the time Luiz took during the meet and greet to slowly acclimate Vita to her new surroundings and make sure she was comfortable. The fenced in yard is a huge plus and Vita became best friends with their dog, Molly. It was clear by the photos I received that Vita was having a blast! Luiz, his wife, and girls all treated Vita like she was part of their family. I am so appreciative of the love and care they gave her. Vita misses them and she will visit them again soon. Again, absolute perfection!!

Karl did a great job taking care of our dog Luna. I was initially a little bit worried about leaving her because she is new to us. Long story short, we took her in somewhat unexpectedly after a neighbor disclosed that she wasn't able to take care of her. Luna had been through three different homes in the last few months and so I didn't know how she would act when faced with yet another transition. Karl was a great fit and Luna did great with him and with his dogs. He sent pictures, was flexible in terms of timing and was a good communicator. He responds to messages quickly. He went above and beyond in his care for Luna. Karl has a fenced in backyard and this really cool doggy door so that his dogs and Luna could go in and out of the house as they pleased. Luna got along really well with his dogs. He also gave Luna wet food along with her dry food, because that is what his dogs had, and so she could eat on a schedule, which she hadn't been doing before. Luna stayed with Karl over the week of July 4th and he made sure to ask if we had a thunder shirt to help her if she felt scared of the fireworks. It is clear that he loves dogs a lot and is also very knowledgeable and experienced. I highly recommend him!

Forough and Amir have Taken care of our dog twice now, once for an extended stay and we love the feeling of knowing how well taken care of and comfortable she is when she is with them. Their dog Ruby is so sweet and is a great host as well. Outstanding family ❤️

Amber and her family took such great care of my two dogs, Phoebe and Cash. Getting them plenty of exercise and love. She took the care to hand feed Phoebe when she wasn’t eating and brushed Cash’s thick coat to provide him relief from the heat. I would definitely rebook with her.

Dorothy and her lovely family took great care of our dog. He came home happy and even with some extra grooming done on his (difficult) coat. Also flexible on drop-off and pick-up times which we appreciated. Highly recommended!

Our Great Dane Lexy had the absolute best time with Erica. She had such a good time that we’re pretty sure she thought she moved in with Erica; when we pulled up she was at the fence protecting her until she realized it was us. Erica sent us pictures of Lexy throughout our trip and she was clearly having the best time ever. We are entirely sure that Lexy was well cared for the whole week she stayed with Erica. She has not lost any of her training, either. In fact, I think she gained more: she immediately sits now when we pull out the treat jar, etc. We will be bringing Lexy back to Erica’s both for doggy daycare and for future trips where Lexy can’t travel with us. Erica is a fantastic dog sitter and a very nice person. Thank you Erica!

Shea and Damien were wonderful overnight hosts for our lab. Their home was a comfortable and safe environment, we were given caring updates and photos. I had complete confidence that Snickers would be well taken care of. I am very appreciative.

Melissa was great! She sent pictures throughout our dog's stay with her and provided him with a ton of exercise and social opportunities with other dogs.
