House Sitting in Cape Elizabeth

Madeleine was absolutely wonderful with our senior dog, Olive, who can be quite nervous and shy. She showed so much patience. We loved receiving regular updates and photos—they gave us total peace of mind while we were away. Madeleine also took great care of our home and left everything spotless. We’re so grateful to have found her and have already recommended her to friends. Truly a fantastic sitter!

Sergey did an amazing job watching our two dogs for a little over a week. They’re a bit anxious, one takes a long time to warm up but they ended up becoming friends which allowed us to really relax and enjoy our vacation. We are super thankful, and if we travel again will hope to have him watch our pups again!

Full disclosure, this was my first use of Rover and Lindsay was the 4th sitter I contacted. She should have been the first! My wife and I were traveling and had my daughter to watch our Charlie for all but one night. After striking out with friends, it was off to Rover we went. Sitter 1 expressed interest, but after a few messages to set up a meet and greet, sitter 1 decided she wasn’t available. Sitter 2 said the thought of doing a 1 night sit was just too much. Sitter 3 had potential but communication lacked when it came to setting up a meet and greet. Then came Lindsay. Her initial message not only indicated interest and availability for the sit, but she also gave a list of times she could do a meet and greet. From there, the process was seamless. Lindsay came for the meet and greet and Charlie loved her right away. On the day of the sit, Lindsay was prompt and asked a few clarifying questions. I knew Charlie and the house were in good hands. Over a 24-hour sit, we received a few pictures and a video with updates on how things were going. Start to finish Lindsay was professional, timely, communicative, and overall just a wonderful sitter. I would highly recommend her and we will most definitely use her services again in the future!

Nish took excellent care of our two dogs at our home during the Christmas holidays. Nish sent multiple updates per day to keep us up to date on everything happening. She constantly took them out to play or on walks, and she left our house spotless! When we returned home, it was clear that the dogs had had an excellent week, as they were calm and happy. Thank you, Nish!

Viva was amazing!!! She picked up and dropped off Fiona and kept us fully updated with pictures and videos. Additionally, I had accidentally booked the wrong end date and Viva happily took Fiona for another day. Viva clearly cared for Fiona taking her on walks and out and about; when Fiona came back, she said hi to us but then went and laid by Viva because she didn’t want her to leave! We will absolutely be booking Viva again as it really seemed like Fiona became part of her life. Highly recommend!

Booked her last minute for two nights and she was awesome. She took great care of my dog, made sure he got his walks, food, and plenty of company. I told her I didn’t need updates but she still sent pics and kept me in the loop, which I really appreciated. Super responsive and easy to communicate with. Definitely recommend!

Rachael cared for our two senior dogs over a long weekend and we couldn’t be more grateful for her in every way. One of our dogs needs a little extra help here and there, and she helped him feel so cozy and supported. Beyond this, she lessened our stress of traveling without them with her clear communication, updates, and really cute photos. Rachael is thoughtful, kind, and has a calming energy that our dogs loved. If you’re looking for an amazing and trustworthy person, you will find that with Rachael!

Megan was great with my playful English Bulldog, Millie! She is very sweet and and it was nice to see how excited Millie got when Megan came to watch her each time. She was able to keep her busy and happy so that each night Millie was tired, and we were all able to get a good night’s sleep! I'll definitely book Megan again when my family visits Maine!

Julie was great! This was our first time leaving our dog with someone else for several days, but by the end of the first day we were resting easy knowing he was well taken care of. Julie sent several pictures and updates everyday and left the house even better than she found it!

Jamie was a fantastic sitter! She was communicative and kind. She responded quickly to our request and was really flexible with scheduling. Jamie stayed overnight in our home with our dog and cat. It was our first time using Rover and she made it a great experience! She is wonderful with animals and we would absolutely recommend her services!

Really appreciated Bret's communication and responsiveness. She took great care of the house as well as my cat, who was very happy in her care. I'd definitely hire her again!

Lori was everything you could hope for in a dog/house sitter! She kept me updated throughout the week with lots of photos of our Quinn. He was happy and playful when we returned so I know he had a great time with Lori. She left the house spotless and we definitely plan to book her again!

Samantha was awesome! My little leo doesn’t warm up to people easily but Samantha sent many pictures of him happy and snuggling with her! She made sure to check in with me so I knew both of my dogs were being well taken care of. It was really nice to not having to worry about them while I was away. Definitely will be using her again ☺️☺️

Amy always does a great job watching our dog. She takes him for plenty of walks and shows him lots of love. The house is always neat and taken care of when we get home. She cares a lot and is easy to work with. Highly recommend!

Elise is absolutely incredible. Throughout our vacation she gave us photo and text updates. She successfully administered our Great Dane’s medication (he can be very particular about taking his meds). He’s a tricky dog that requires extra care. Things like slobber upkeep and feeding a picky eater pup were second nature for her. When we got home she had the house cleaner than how we left it. We were stunned. Book Elise you won’t be disappointed.

Lindsay is fantastic! She took care of our two pups while we were away and was wonderful: communicative, attentive, responsible and personable. The dogs loved her! We highly recommend Lindsey and will definitely book with her again in the future.
