Dog Boarding in Kalkaska

Heather was communicative, patient, and kind with our anxious dog. She has wonderful dog training skills and provided us with updates throughout the weekend which we really appreciated! Thank you, Heather!

Cheyenne really helped us out as we were visiting the area and wanted a dog free day to bike around Mackinac Island. She agreed to take our dogs for the day and an overnight. It worked out perfect and we appreciated her flexibility!

I recently used Peter to watch my dog Jac for a week, and like most people, I was a bit apprehensive about leaving my dog with someone new for that long. Peter made the process easy from the start. We met briefly at the park near his house, and he was timely, flexible, and clearly very comfortable with dogs. My dog had a great time. I received plenty of photos throughout the week, and it was obvious he was happy and well cared for. Truthfully, it was a little tough to get him to leave. :-) I highly recommend Peter and will happily use him again.

We left our one-year-old puppy with Rachel for our first long trip (10 days). Our son was really nervous about being away from him, but Rachel sent photos and updates every day, which allowed our kiddo to relax and enjoy his time away. When we picked up our pooch, he was happy to see us, but didn’t seem too thrilled to leave his new best friend, Charles. It was so nice to know he was having as much fun as we were! No question we’ll be rebooking.

Kimberly and Jeremy are the best dog parents! They took care of our pup for almost 2 weeks and were very flexible when we had to schedule another day due to some travel delays. They sent pictures and updates consistently - we had no worries about our dog during our time away because we knew our pup was well taken care of. We highly recommend this family and we’re looking forward to booking with them again!

Lisa showed genuine interest in caring for our dog, Darby. She kept us updated with text messages included photos of Darby while out for a walk and relaxing in her home. Communication was easy going with Lisa and she quickly responded to my texts. Unlike Darby's previous kennel experiences, Darby seemed calmer and well rested when we picked her up. We're glad we found Lisa and will surely engage her services again.

Excellent! Otis said he had a great time! Caroline seems to have a genuine love for dogs and treated ours like one of the family. We plan to repeat this process again next year when we vacation in this area again.

Sally was amazing! We provided challenges on two fronts: an aging, large Newfoundland and a crazy 7-month-old Australian Sheperd. She handled both with patience and professionalism. The dogs got plenty of walks and playtime. We received pictures and updates every day and the dogs seemed to have a blast! Highly recommend!

Coleen did an amazing job with our dog Pepper. We are so grateful that we have found her on Rover. She kept us updated on how Pepper was doing and sent photos. Highly recommended!

Ashley was great as a host! She was very flexible with timing and communicated very well! She has a farm but a fenced in area around the house for the dogs. I'd recommend her to others anytime!

Amanda took very good care of Charlie and provided daly updates as to how he was doing with texts that included photos of him during his stay.

Audrey was extremely welcoming to my dog, Koda. Koda can be a lot to take on, especially with having severe separation anxiety, but Audrey was very confident in herself and her ability to take care of my dog. I think Audrey did the best she could. Koda does not like to be in a crate and will do anything to break out, so it was not a surprise to find she had a few scratches on her snoot. Although I wasn’t surprised, I was a little disappointed to know she was in her crate long enough to be so desperate to get out. After we left, Koda drank two entire bowls of water. I’m a little nervous that she didn’t receive enough water while being cared for, but she may have also had a lot of playtime shortly before we picked her up. I’ll never know for sure. Like I said, Koda is A LOT. She’s a great dog and we love her so much, but she doesn’t do the best around new people. I’m very happy with Audrey’s communication and transparency (Koda had an accident in the house…) . She was a great solution as a pet sitter for a couple visiting from out of town, I just don’t know that she was the best fit for Koda.

Emily (and Roscoe) provided such wonderful care for our Husky. She loved paying with Roscoe and we got frequent updates and pictures/videos that put us at ease leaving our girl behind while traveling. We would definitely recommend Emily and our pup can’t wait to return!

GusGus always comes back from his stay with Daniel happy and contented. Daniel is a super caring guy who loves dogs and treats each visiting dog as his own. I Highly recommend Daniel!!

She was great with our two dogs. We had a last-minute cancellation from another sitter and she was able to cover the weekend! It was very much appreciated. I would book her again!

Stephanie and Scott are delightful. They were absolutely amazing with our little puppy. She was loved and played with and I can tell she fully enjoyed every minute in their care. We received lots of loving photos and texts throughout the weekend. I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again for my pup ❤️
