Dog Boarding in Elizabeth City

Wonderful stay as always. This has become Sadie’s home away from home. She loves to hang out with John. He is excellent about sending frequent updates.

This is the second time I had Christianna watch my dog. She’s very sweet, friendly, responsive, and just incredible. Everything went very smoothly. Highly recommended! Two thumbs up!

I can not say enough wonderful things about Eric and his family! They took such great care of our American Bully Gigi. She is my baby and has anxiety and trying to find a place for her when we can’t take her with us is stressful not only for us but for her. They loved on her and treated her just as we would! We got pictures and updates daily which was much appreciated! I highly recommend him and I am forever grateful for the love and care they gave her while we were out of town. We will definitely use him again! 5 stars is not enough for the care and love given to Gigi 💕

I was a last minute booking and Marcia welcomed Miles with open arms! She was so sweet and updated me daily! I even received pictures of his fun! She is amazing, don’t hesitate to book!

10/10 would recommend!! I’ve had some decent sitters and boarders but I’m very glad I found Kailee. My dogs loved the environment. Upon pick up I noticed they were fully groomed and brushed out as well. For an active family that travels, its nice to find someone who you trust on trips the dogs can’t join.

We highly recommend Melanie and Addison. Our Fozzie and Winton were in such great hands with them, and we loved receiving pictures while we were away. They were easy to communicate with, quickly responsive, house was very clean, and from the pictures they sent I could see our fur babies were happy. Thank you for taking such great care of our fur babies while we were away!

Jeff had an amazing time and was very well cared for. Maria and Matthew are wonderful at what they do and truly treat all animals as their own. 10/10 recommend

Morgan and her husband are awesome! Our puppies have a great time with them! She lets me know how things are going throughout their stay. We really appreciate her!!! Most definitely would refer her to any friends or family!

I wish I could leave 10 out of 5 stars, I am extremely satisfied with how Lauren took care of my dog Maggie! After I had a not so good experience at a commercial boarding business, I was nervous to board my dog again. Lauren assured me that Maggie would get lots of personal attention and play since she homeschools her children. I got daily updates and pictures of Maggie relaxing and cuddling while I was gone. If I need to board again I will be going back to Lauren!

Conor spent another wonderful week with Ricardo. I was having surgery and we wanted our pup to stay with someone we trust. It turned out that my hospital stay would include an additional day. We weren't prepared for that. I contacted Ricardo and asked if he would be able to keep Conor the extra day, he was more than understanding and said yes. Conor was picked up today and he is wiped out! He obviously had a great time and we are blessed to have Ricardo and his wife love him as much as we do.

They did such a great job taking care of Milo. He was snuggling with them on day one. When we had to pick him up a little later then planned, they were really understanding and flexible. Feel very lucky to have them as dog sitters.

Amanda was wonderful. She gave us the peace of mind to actually enjoy our vacation. She was awesome with our girl. We got frequent daily updates which definitely eased any anxiety leaving her. I know she took great care of her, not just from the pictures, but our pooch's demeanor when we picked her up. She looked happy and healthy. Other times we've taken her to kennels, she has lost weigh and has been anxious, frazzled and lethargic. Not this time!!! We're very pleased with Amanda's service and would not hesistate to book her again.

Rose took such good care of my pup, she sent daily updates and pics and my dog was well cared-for and happy the whole time. She has a whole system down for introducing new guest puppies to the dogs and people in her home and she has a room just for the guest dog to have quiet space. The farm is incredible and my dog loved playing with Rose’s two adorable pups. Rose is very caring, lovely, and capable and I will definitely leave my pup with her again the next time we are in the area!

Eugene took great care of our little one. He made sure to keep us updated by sending photos and videos. We will absolutely be using the Happy Hound Hideaway again in the future.

Kristin was amazing with our two pups, she was crazy prepared with various leashes and extra collars, gps device cc es for to he dogs to wear "just in case" and a collection of dog crates. The dogs loved exploring her property and meeting her dogs.

Taylor was fantastic taking care of our 5 month old mini Bernedoodle puppy while we were vacationing on the Outer Banks. I was nervous about leaving him since he’d never been away from us, but Taylor answered all of my questions prior to booking. She met us in the driveway as soon as we pulled up, sent messages and videos throughout the week, and even had his kennel disassembled and ready for us as we pulled up to pick him up. If we are ever back in the area, we’d love to board with Taylor again!

Jon and his family were amazing! They were so loving towards our pup, sent pictures and updates almost daily and were so personable! I wish we vacationed all the time in NC, because I would use them every chance I get.
