House Sitting in La Madera

We’ve worked with Rita for a few years now. She is amazing with all of our three animals who are at different ages with various personalities. She watched them recently, took the dogs on walks, made sure they got play time, and went above and beyond in several ways. She always gives our cat lots of attention too and her medication that she takes twice a day. Rita is the best!

This is the second time we’ve used Cody and he’s awesome. He’s great with dogs and leaves everything very neat and tidy. Highly recommend!

Michelle was wonderful! Communication was great and she was very dependable. We came home to a very happy pup.

Laurie is a very responsible individual who is conscientious and a very sweet person. She instantly hit it off with the pack (5 dogs) we own. Even the shyest of ours went voluntarily to Laurie on the meet and greet. Laurie is an attention to detailed woman and she starts taking notes and then follows them. Our eldest is on medication and she administered it like clockwork! We will use Laurie again when the need arises.

Susana was such a pleasure to have take care of my babies. Great communication and photos daily. My home was as I left it. I will definitely be a repeat customer!

Abigail is a true blessing to our family. Mojito and Margarita are relaxed and happy when we return as she keeps them entertained and cared for the way I would. She is flexible as well when we have a change in plans. Just a wonderful pet person and my house is exactly as I left it every time.

Mariah did a fantastic job taking care of Lillie when I was out of town! She was communicative, took great care of the house, took a bunch of photos and always let me know how things were going.

Again Daniel was AWESOME. Everything exceeded expectations. We've got at least 2 more bookings this year so scoop him up quick! Seriously a 5 star in house sitter.

What can I say about Marty? He was seriously a godsend. We had another cat sitter cancel on us 4 days before we were set to leave the country, and less than an hour after I reached out to Marty he replied that he was available. His communication was warm and professional from the jump. The next day we did a virtual meet and greet and Marty asked great questions. Two days later he was at our house and he was honestly game for any caretaking responsibilities. We have a senior cat who needs medication, two outdoor cats, and a sizeable garden. I felt bad that we were springing so much on Marty, but he didn't flinch at any of it! He took all of it on so gracefully. While we were away, he sent us daily updates and pictures of our 3 cats, and even sent us a video of him watering the garden to ensure he was doing it right. When we got home the house was just as we had left it. Our cats were clearly well taken care of and the garden was in good shape. It felt so secure having someone as trustworthy as Marty caring for our pets and home. We would ask him again 100 times over.

Savanah was available for a short notice 5 night booking when a previous sitter didn’t work out. From the beginning/ first meet and greet she was responsive and professional. Her flexibility, kindness, love for animals, and respect for our home are just the top reasons why we will book her again. It made our vacation extra relaxing with the updates so we knew they were being cared for and happy. Thanks again Savanah!

Mona was very responsive, concientious and loving with our two pups. We have a rambunctious Golden adolescent and a senior lab. Mona was able to give both our dogs the individual attention they need and the pups loved her. Would not hesitate to use Mona again!

Christina is one of the nicest, most thoughtful caregivers that I have had the pleasure to meet through Rover. She sent pictures and updates on activities throughout the day. She asked lots of questions to make sure she got things right. I appreciate that as you never know when someone is "winging it" until you get home and see the evidence. The dogs looked happy and we'll cared for in all the pics and were perfectly content when we arrived home. We will definitely be using Christina for our pet sitting again. Can't say enough good things about her.

Kat did a wonderful job caring for Lucca and the house over a long weekend. She clearly cares deeply about animals and really tried to understand Lucca's needs before and during her stay. Lucca often takes a while to warm up to people, but seemed to feel comfortable with Kat very quickly. Lucca seemed happy, and the house seemed very well cared for, after her stay. She sent lots of pictures and stayed in touch the whole time. Highly recommended!!

This is the second time we have used Juan to watch our dogs. We always get updates and our dogs are treated very well. I would definitely recommend him to other people.

Lydia was great. She was patient with our dogs, even when they were troublemakers. She was great with sending updates and kept our house clean very orderly while we were gone.

I have to start with, Stephanie was exceptional!!! Starting with our first meeting, and continuing on, I was quite impressed by Stephanie. Intelligent. caring, energetic, kind....... I really can go on and on but don't want to go overboard, lest you think this isn't a real review - it is. As soon as I got home from our initial meet, I booked Stephanie before someone else could scoop her up. She stayed at our house for a week, caring for our shih tzu, our indoor plants, our landscaping, our house! Maisie loved her at first sight! Stephanie stayed in touch with us daily (which I appreciated - she did ask me at our second meeting did I like/want alot of contact, pictures, etc. - and yes, I'm one of those doggy moms). She administered meds to Maisie twice a day, gave her new toys, played games - and let her sleep with her! Stephanie even took her downtown for a doggy cup from Starbucks (asked permission first)!! I did not spend one minute worrying about our furry child; I knew Stephanie could handle anything that came up ( requesting vet info, local emergency vet locations, etc - I didn't think to leave this as info!?!?!?!?). I'm quite certain that our little princess, Maisie, felt like we left her on a "Ritz" vacation with Stephanie. I started with EXCEPTIONAL and have to end that way as well - as did Stephanie prior to our arrival home. So, I've gotten great reports and pictures all week; Stephanie texts to ask would I like her to pick up some groceries so we don't have to run out right away. And then we get home, the house is spotless! Stephanie had vacuumed and cleaned the hardwood floors, washed and replaced sheets and towels she used while sitting for us, cleaned the common spaces and bathrooms, AND cleaned the refrigerator shelves!!! Oh yeah, and she gave Maisie a bath!!!!! Need I say more...... the best we've ever had. My only hesitancy with sharing such a wonderful, caring, intelligent, thoughtful care provider with you is - she may get so busy I won't be able to get her again!!! Oops, and I forgot. She did an adorable sketch of Maisie and left it for us, framed, in our favorite room in the house.. Trust me - reserve Stephanie whenever you can! She is exceptional!!!
