Dog Boarding in Newark Valley

Steve did a wonderful job with the boarding of our Boxane Frank. He was very professional, flexible and experienced in dog sitting. This was our first time using non-family for a dog sitter, and it was a wonderful experience. We will definitely use them again.

Mary is wonderful. She loves our dogs just as we do. Sent updates every day and included treats to send them home with. We will never use anyone else.

Charlene kept my dog for his first overnight away from home. She sent me pictures of him during his visit. Rockie was happy and content when I picked him up. I feel very comfortable with Charlene and so does Rockie. She is a great person and I highly recommended her to all dog owners.

Penelope and Hamilton’s second time and they love it from the pictures we receive regularly. We don’t even think about them until Alex sends a picture…then we feel bad we didn’t think about them. 🤭That’s how comfortable we are.

Our senior pup seemed to have a good visit, and Carolina was really helpful with our pup's unique feeding approach. Thank you!

Dana is the best dog sitter! She understands dog behavior and follows my dog's routine. Dana communicates well and is flexible with travel situations. Most important my dog likes to go to Dana's home and comes home happy. I am extremely pleased with Dana's Rover service for boarding at her home.

You can tell Destiny loves animals and is happy to open her home to your pets. She took great care of Lou, and he even smelled great when we picked him up! She alleviated my separation anxiety with daily photos and prompt responses. I would let her watch Lou anytime! Thank you Destiny for your great care while we were away!

Caterina is so warm and hospitable. You can tell she loves taking care of our pups! She is very organized and specific so that things run smoothly and the dogs don’t get stressed. They have full run of a part of the house and get lots of opportunities to play together outside or take a walk, she says. The “meet and greet”was new to me, but I see the value. Caterina tuned into Bogie from the start. TIP: It would be helpful if ROVER and/or the pet sitter specified the TIME WINDOWS for dropping off and picking up. Also is the “daily” charge for EACH NIGHT or for EACH 24-HR period? ALSO when a person requests “3 nights” (or days), it is the practice of hotels is to CHECK OUT on the FOURTH ONE BY A CERTAIN TIME. ROVER really caused me angst when they messed up my request for THREE NIGHTS and Kyle scheduled pickup BEFORE the third night. The SITE IS VERY “UNFRIENDLY” about modifying a booking. I was desperately trying to figure it out for over an hour and then I texted Caterina and she said I could have just contacted HER! What a waste of my time and a lot of frustration. ROVER NEEDS TO FIX ALL THIS. I can’t recommend it the way it is now. I was beside myself two days before my vacation trying to get things corrected. Pickup and Drop off times were never specified. People picking me up for the trip had to change their time. It would have been helpful if I knew what kind of window I had w/ pet sitter. HAD TO DRIVE an EXTRA 80 mins that morning, then jump in car and go the 6 hrs north right by her place. Found out (after the fact) as early as 4am was good. WISH I HAD KNOWN!! Not sure where it is written… I wish it was specified somewhere; it would eliminate much unnecessary back and forth texting to get the logistics down.

Kathryn and Jared are great. Our pittie enjoys going to their house. This is the second time we have used them for a multi night stay. They take great care of our loved one and go beyond expectations. I highly recommend them to take care of your loved one.

Our pup had a great time with Bee! I will definitely bring her back if the need arises. She made my girl feel really comfortable so her parents were comfortable too! :)

Thank you Alexandria and family for taking care of our Charlie while we were away for 7 days. It great to not spend any time worrying about him while were were away enjoying ourselves on vacation. NK

Rose was wonderful! She took such great care of our little Pomeranian, Giovanni. Gio settled right in like home. We wouldn't hesitate to use Rose to watch him again. Thank you so much!!!

Now that Olivia has stayed with Aaron and Kaylee twice, I feel confident saying that theirs is a great place to board your pup! Olivia had lots of fun every time, and Aaron and Kaylee are great about keeping you updated, and even sending you pictures. Thank you both so much!

Our dogs had such a great time! They're really happy to visit Robert and Eileen and Huckleberry and Sydney and Finn, and have gotten to feel very comfortable with them. We're just so lucky to have connected with these wonderful people :-)
