House Sitting in Rotterdam

Alexis was able to commit to house-sitting on fairly short notice. My dog barked a lot at the beginning of the meet and greet, but it was apparent that Alexis had the right energy to put Maple at ease quickly and that we were a good fit. Alexis was able to give Salem his allergy drops and followed all feeding instructions perfectly. The pets were happy and the house was very clean when we got home. Thanks Alexis!

Steele is full of energy, currently teething, and—like many puppies—can be precocious, stubborn, and a handful at times. Despite all that, Pamela handled her with patience, confidence, and genuine affection. From the very beginning, it was clear that Pamela is a seasoned dog person. She took the time to understand Steele’s routines, quirks, and needs, and she always checked in before making any decisions—including asking permission to bring her well-mannered 2-year-old dog for play sessions. Their time together was a huge benefit for Steele’s socialization and energy levels, and it was done thoughtfully and responsibly. Pamela communicated consistently throughout our time away, sending daily updates, videos, and photos. This gave us complete peace of mind knowing Steele was not only safe but happy and engaged. Her attention to detail and willingness to keep us informed truly set her apart. Equally important, Pamela treated our home with the utmost respect—she cared for it as if it were her own. We returned to a spotless house and a very content puppy, which speaks volumes about her professionalism and care. We cannot recommend Pamela highly enough. Megan did a great job. She seemed to take an immediate liking to our dog. She is obviously an animal lover. Plus she really adapted on the fly when a plumbing problem forced us out of our house the night before we were leaving town.

Adrianna was great with our senior dog and our two cats! Very prompt with communication and seemed to connect with our animals, particularly our sometimes loner cat, almost immediately during the meet and greet. Definitely recommend!

This was the first time Brian house sat for us. Upon meeting him for the first time when he stopped by for a meet and greet both of my senior terriers seemed immediately accepting of and comfortable with him. One of my boys requires eye drops twice a day and both suffer from separation anxiety. When I returned home after 6 days, both boys had obviously been well-cared for. Brian was professional and accommodating and I will definitely call upon him again.

Kathryn was everything we asked for and more. We booked her for the week of Christmas and she took great care of our dog. Before we left for our trip she came to our home twice to get acquainted with our dog. She sent daily updates & pictures and was quick to reply when I reached out to her. Not only did she feed and play with our dog, but she even brought her treats and tucked her into bed at night (Pitties love their blankets). She texted me to warn me about a snow storm that came during our time away and even shoveled our driveway so we could get into it on our return! Who does that? She is a true gem and I feel so lucky to have found her on Rover. I am anxious to plan my next trip knowing Kathryn is willing to come back.
