Dog Boarding in Slaterville Springs

Caterina is so warm and hospitable. You can tell she loves taking care of our pups! She is very organized and specific so that things run smoothly and the dogs don’t get stressed. They have full run of a part of the house and get lots of opportunities to play together outside or take a walk, she says. The “meet and greet”was new to me, but I see the value. Caterina tuned into Bogie from the start. TIP: It would be helpful if ROVER and/or the pet sitter specified the TIME WINDOWS for dropping off and picking up. Also is the “daily” charge for EACH NIGHT or for EACH 24-HR period? ALSO when a person requests “3 nights” (or days), it is the practice of hotels is to CHECK OUT on the FOURTH ONE BY A CERTAIN TIME. ROVER really caused me angst when they messed up my request for THREE NIGHTS and Kyle scheduled pickup BEFORE the third night. The SITE IS VERY “UNFRIENDLY” about modifying a booking. I was desperately trying to figure it out for over an hour and then I texted Caterina and she said I could have just contacted HER! What a waste of my time and a lot of frustration. ROVER NEEDS TO FIX ALL THIS. I can’t recommend it the way it is now. I was beside myself two days before my vacation trying to get things corrected. Pickup and Drop off times were never specified. People picking me up for the trip had to change their time. It would have been helpful if I knew what kind of window I had w/ pet sitter. HAD TO DRIVE an EXTRA 80 mins that morning, then jump in car and go the 6 hrs north right by her place. Found out (after the fact) as early as 4am was good. WISH I HAD KNOWN!! Not sure where it is written… I wish it was specified somewhere; it would eliminate much unnecessary back and forth texting to get the logistics down.

Susan did an excellent job caring for my cat, Amy. She contacted me with updates every day, including pictures. I will definitely hire her again. 🙂

Rose was wonderful! She kept my dogs longer when my flight home was delayed. My girls loved getting to play in her fenced in yard. Bonus: she takes amazing pictures of your pets!

Carolina boarded my senior dog for 4 days. Was sending pictures and messages throughout to update me! She was able to give him his daily walks and medicine and was attentive to constantly replacing his bathroom pads! Would definitely recommend!

This was Poppy’s second stay and as before she had a wonderful time. The communication was great and we didn’t have to worry at all while on vacation.

Derick did a fantastic job taking care of Chachis! Communication was excellent, and he kept me updated throughout the stay. Chachis was a happy camper! Derick is such a good person, and he has a lovely family. I felt very comfortable leaving Chachis with them and knew she was in good hands. I would definitely recommend Derick and book with him again!

I took my dog Zoso there for a 2 week stay. When I went to pick him up, I got the feeling he didn't want to leave because he had such a great time playing with the other dogs! Steve took excellent care of him. I could not be more pleased with how Zoso was treated. I would HIGHLY recommend Steve & Patty for your dog's boarding needs! Thank You Steve!

Charlene and Rick were welcoming and friendly. Our pup immediately felt comfortable. Charlene is a wonderful, kind person. I appreciated her updates and pictures.

Maxine & Kyle were fantastic overnight caretakers, w/ our 3-yr-old who can be a tad skittish. They were very accommodating. Will be using them again and likely often. thank you both!

Landry was flexible and easy to work with. We did find communication during the time we were gone to be limited - Landry had mentioned that she would send lots of photos but we did not get any and had to initiate any updates we got from her. This wasn't a deal breaker but left us uneasy as it was not the expectation she promoted. Our dogs got along well and we appreciated the fenced in yard!
