Dog Boarding in Cheviot

This was our first time using DogVacay and I wasn't quite sure what to expect, but the first communication from Karen put me completely at ease. She was very responsive and helpful when I reached out to her, and was flexible about our schedule when our dates changed to drop off our pup. And we could not have been happier with the experience we and our dog had with Karen. She clearly knows her way around dogs. When we dropped off our pup, she had us walk down the block a little ways and brought her own dog out after us - her strategy to get them used to each other in a before our dog entered another dog's home territory. It made a lot of sense and seemed to work really well. Karen has a fenced in backyard and a dog-loving family. She sent us text and photo updates, and when I called to check in about when we would pick up our pup, Karen filled me in on everything he'd been up to. When we picked him up, she even showed us some training techniques (he is a young dog who is still learning how to walk without pulling). Our dog had clearly been very happy at Karen's home, and was pleasantly tired out from several days of play. If you need to board your dog in the Cincinnati area, we HIGHLY recommend Karen!

Chrissy is wonderful with our very energetic 20 month old Yorkie Poo Toby. We so appreciate how comfortable and happy Toby is while staying with Chrissy and her family. Thanks Rose & Jay

This was the first time I used Rover. Michelle was very patient with Ginger, even after she outsmarted the baby gate and the cat door. We were very grateful for the peace of mind she gave us while we were away.

I was so happy to find this boarding option on short notice, when our usual go-to family dog-sitter fell through just before a monthlong trip overseas. Tonia is clearly someone who loves and understands dogs of all kinds, takes their needs seriously, and makes her home and fenced backyard a dog haven (complete with pup pool). Simeo seemed to feel at home right away, and even slept in her bed most nights, just like with mama. Couldn't have asked for a better home-away-from-home for my little guy -- sure he'll be back, next time I have to travel without him. Thank you, Tonia!

Cori is the best! The daily updates felt so organic, like we were just chatting about my dog and how she was doing. I could tell on the pictures she sent me how well her and her husband were taking care of my baby. A huge plus was that it was my dog’s bday during that time and she made her a special “bday cake” with peanut butter and her food. 100% recommend leaving your fur babies with her.

Gigi spent spring break with Misty and had a great time! As always, we appreciate Misty for taking care of our fur baby while we are away. Until next booking :)

Josephine was absolutely wonderful. Lots of playtime and exercise for my sweet Ollie, all while getting update each day with photos. Looking forward to booking with her again!

Holly has such a sweet and welcoming personality. I felt very comfortable leaving my precious senior pup with her. She went above and beyond make him feel cozy.

I would highly recommend William and Haley. It was my first time leaving my 8 month golden retriever Finn with anyone. I have never been away from him. William made me feel like it was going to be ok. Lots of pictures with Finn playing with their dogs. A fenced back yard for the dogs to run. They gave Finn all the attention he needed. They loved Finn like he was there own. Highly recommend them. Thanks Bill and Family.

Caitlin went above and beyond and sent frequent pictures and a video of my dog. She has two dogs that my dog enjoyed playing with. I will definitely ask her to sit again.

Leann made us feel very comfortable leaving our dogs with her, as this was our first Rover stay. They had lots of fun with her dogs and returned happy and healthy which has not always been the case when they’ve been kenneled. Very grateful Leann took in our dogs so we could celebrate our anniversary out of town worry free.

Leeann was amazing with our pup! It was our first time leaving him and we were anxious about how he would do. He did great with Leann, she was so understanding of our apprehension. She sent pictures and updates. I am grateful he was so well taken care of! We would definitely send Rocco to Leeann again.

Natalie is great! She is responsive and flexible. My dog is also very happy when I pick him up. I definitely would recommend her to watch your pet!

Shauna and her husband were absolutely amazing! They did us a huge favor by squeezing in our pup. This family was highly reviewed and now I understand why. They know their stuff when it comes to dogs - very intuitive and loving. We got lots of pictures and updates while we were gone so we could see all the fun Pineapple was having. They were plenty of other dogs for her to play with and lots of space to run. Shauna will definitely be one of my go to people for keeping our Pineapple in the future.

Tasha and Joseph are AWESOME! Our pup had the best time and Joe kept us updated throughout his stay over. This was our first time using Rover and we will definitely book with them again. Thank you for taking such good care of Monty!!

Max just spent two weeks with Sarah and Jared and I can't recommend them enough! Communication was excellent throughout the entire stay; I always received quick responses and loved the regular picture updates. They have a fantastic, big backyard where Max got plenty of exercise and playtime. It was so heartening to hear that Max bonded with their dog and that their kids treated him like part of the family. Leaving a pet for two weeks can be stressful, but knowing Max was in such a loving, active environment made my trip much more enjoyable. Max came home happy and tuckered out from all the fun. We will definitely be back!

Monte was absolutely wonderful with Gracie, and I couldn’t have asked for a better person to watch her. From the start, Monte was attentive, reliable, and clearly cared about making sure Gracie was comfortable, happy, and well looked after. Gracie was content when I returned, which says everything—you can tell she was in great hands. Monte was communicative, thoughtful, and treated her like his own, which gave me complete peace of mind while I was away. I would wholeheartedly recommend Monte to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring, and responsible dog sitter. Gracie and I are both very grateful!

Lisa was unbelievable! I was moving to a new apartment and had to board my Golden Retriever puppy for a few days for the first time and I was nervous about it. Lisa frequently sent updates and reassurance that my pup was safe and healthy. She recommended a new collar for him, began incredible training, and I will absolutely 100% be going back. I highly recommend Lisa for all of your boarding/training needs.
