House Sitting in Deer Island

There are no words to express how wonderful Trace was with our two shepherd mix pups (3 year old big babies) . We had Trace come over for a second round of puppy sitting for two weeks. Earlier too Trace had been amazing when we had him take care of our babies for a weekend. He treated them like his own and was absolutely amazing following all our instructions and going above and beyond for the boys. I highly recommend Trace and i would definitely contact him again for our future puppy sitting assistance.

Alex was prompt in her communication and reached out a few times a day so we knew that things were going well. Everything appeared in order when we returned home- looking forward to booking again!

Karl was amazing!! We had to find a sitter on short notice right before Christmas for our two dogs (aka the crazies) and cat and he was super helpful and responsive. The dogs bonded with him even during the meet and greet and Karl did amazing things with all three during his 10 days at the house. He did a lot of training and even somehow found ways to have the 16yo cat hang out with two young, energetic, 70# dogs that clearly don’t mirror the same chill approach to life as a senior cat. We got updates multiple times a day with pictures, videos, texts. As he stayed in our house in the rainy season I told him not to worry too much about the mud the dogs would bring in from the backyard - the house was spotless when we came back, bedsheets were washed and folded. We’re really happy with Karl, will definitely reach out again for the next trip.

Karen did a fantastic job caring for our sweet labradoodle while we were away for a week. Since we had a pre-dawn departure, Karen arrived the night before, so we were lucky enough to have that time to chat and hang out a bit before we left on our trip. She was wonderful about sending updates/videos daily. They had great play sessions, walks, etc., and she even stayed up soothing him during an evening thunderstorm (which completely undoes him). We were totally at ease on our vacation seeing how happy our dog was, and we came home to an immaculate house too. We highly recommend Karen and look forward to having her housesit for us again someday.

Wonderful sitter!! We have a husky mix, 2 bengal cats, and a tabby was visiting, Vanessa took brilliant care of them all. It was the first time we’ve left them with anyone but family so I was anxious but oh my goodness she did a GREAT job. They are all challenging animals in their own way but she handled it like the professional she is. She sent photos during our trip assuring us they were happy and healthy. She left the house exactly as she found it clean and orderly. She even washed the towels she used! I almost hate writing such an honest and glowing review because she will soon be used by everyone that can get her but I want her all to myself😂 you can’t go wrong with her!!!!

Ian did an absolutely fantastic job watching our cat Stella while we were away. From start to finish, his communication was outstanding.  He kept us updated regularly, sent plenty of pictures, and gave us complete peace of mind knowing Stella was in great hands. It was clear he genuinely cared about her and took the time to make sure she was comfortable and well looked after. On top of that, we came home to a house that was in excellent condition and incredibly well cared for. We would absolutely book Ian again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable, communicative, and thoughtful pet sitter.

Rogue loved his time with Melissa! He was happy to stay in his house with his new friend who snuggled and played with him. He crashed when we got home and kept looking for Malissa in the guest bedroom.

Aislynn was a great dog sitter! She watched my dog Frank (65 pound bully mix) for 10 days while I was out of town. It was the first time having a stranger watch him so I wasn't sure how he'd do. When I got home, he was content and happy. Aislynn exercised him everyday and took good care of him. My house was clean and she even stripped the bed. I would recommend her and hire her again.

Honest review here: 5 day stay. The first day she overbooked herself on other things and my dogs were kenneled twice as long as the agreed max time per day. I mentioned my concerns and after that she was very good about keeping within the time limits and keeping me up to date the rest of the trip. Pups are happy and tired, plenty of exercise, kept their weight up/ate well, lots of photos and quick communication. Came back to a house as clean as I left it. That first day made me very nervous but the rest went so well that I plan on hiring again for another trip.

Frank did a wonderful job taking care of our big dog, Brock, and keeping an eye on our home and even fed my fish (3 tanks). They washed the sheets and cleaned things up so it was just as we left it. We hope Frank will be available to house sit for us again in the future. They are very calm and caring, and I can tell our giant, bouncy puppy benefitted from being in such good company for a week.

Kris did a wonderful job taking care of our two dogs while we were out of state for a few days. We received daily pics and updates that provided us with peace mind that they were behaving themselves. He also took care of the house and left it in great condition. Highly recommend! Will definitely ask him back for future dogsitting needs.

I couldn’t be happier with the care and attention Erica gave my two pups! She checked in with me often which really eased my stress while I was away. I would highly recommend her and will definitely book her again.

Marie was a fantastic dog and house sitter! We were gone for almost two weeks and we got regular updates on how things were going (with pictures and videos) and she took great care of both our dog and our home. We will certainly be requesting Marie’s services again when we’re out of town for an extended visit!

Emily took great care of our very active border collie! She communicated well, arrived on time, followed feeding instructions and routine, and spent lots of time in the yard throwing the ball! I recommend Emily to care for your pet(s).

Lena did a good job with Lucy. Lucy was calm and happy when I returned from my trip. I also have a lot of outdoor plants. They look good despite the excessive heat, thanks to Lena and lots of watering!

Catherine did a great job caring for our dog and cat. Both of our animals are seniors, and our dog in particular, is time intensive with insulin and incontinence needs. Not only did our animals look great when we got home, but our home did as well. All linens were washed and the kitchen was very clean. I would definitely use Catherine again.

Renata was a top quality house and pet sitter. She was communicative, leaving frequent updates. She was *very* tidy, leaving the house for us as clean as we left it for her. We were also delayed getting home and she offered to stay an extra while so our cat wouldn't be alone as long as she otherwise would have. We definitely plan to reach out to her for future excursions. 5 stars all around!
