House Sitting in Winter Valley Estates

I am ambivalent about writing this review for Megan C. But I cannot in good conscience not tell what we experienced. We met up 4 days before our trip. I introduced her to Rachi & went over the routine. We have written care instructions right above the table that holds all the food treats and supplements that we give our dog. Megan seemed to understand everything. I told Megan to just ask if she had any questions. But the number of questions I received was unbelievable. Most of the questions she asked we had gone over in our meeting before our trip. I assumed she would remember or at least have written things down. There wasn’t a lot that is not covered in our care sheet. Five stars for her honesty. The abundance of texts included attention to damage she thought she may have cause. No complaints about the care of my dog. Rachi was clean and brushed. The house was straightened and clean. I would definitely have her do drop-in visits, she did seem to pay close attention to my dog. My gripe. At our meet up, Megan asked if she could eat from the pantry. I thought it an odd question at first, then I remembered that her daily rate was $20. So I said sure, help yourself. I realized after she left that we were paying $64 a day. But I didn’t think too much about it. ALL our past sitters brought their own food. I thought the pantry and fridge might be raided for the chips, snacks & condiments. I was wrong! Both our garage and house fridge as well as the pantry were raided. I don’t think she bought or brought any of her own food! I though we would be supplementing her food, not providing all of it. But when I brought the misunderstanding to her attention, she remedied it quickly and refunded an agreeable amount. She is honest, great with the dog and left our house neat and clean. But you need to clearly communicate about the food issue.

This was our first booking with Rover & LeighAnn. We absolutely will use LeighAnn again! We enjoyed the easy process Rover provides. LeighAnn was very communicative with us & was great with our dogs and cat. LeighAnn, thank you for being so great & providing us peace of mind while we were on our trip.

Jennifer house sat for our cats and dog over Thanksgiving and we are so glad we found her! We'd been losing hope of finding a sitter for the holidays but not only was Jennifer available, she also did a great job! We had a lot of specific instructions because some of our cats don't get along and some are on prescription food, but she followed all of them without any issues, and she sent updates and photos multiple times each day. I would definitely recommend Jennifer!

Tory was an angel as ever. Not only does she care for our pets like her own, but she was so accommodating for some unexpected weather. We were on a cruise and the city expected a freeze the day we arrived. She brought in groceries, mail, and dripped our taps. She took wonderful care of our home as well. We’re so happy to have her every time we’re away.

Ivy was attentive, loving, and very flexible. Our dogs all loved her. We have 2 high energy mals, that she handled with confidence. Highly recommend.

We absolutely loved Laura and will rebook with her again! Our scheduled sitter canceled with less than 24 hours notice and Laura jumped in to save the day. She came by within hours to meet the pack. Our dogs loved her and we felt 100% confident our babies and our house were in good hands. We all joked that the first sitter canceling ended up being the best thing that could have happened. Note: Laura was originally one of our top picks when we booked, but the other sitter responded first (only by minutes)

Ariel did a wonderful job with Luna and helped me feel comfortable the entire time that I was gone that my little bug was doing well! This was particularly appreciated as Luna is in recovery after a surgery

Journey took care of my two dogs and watched my home while I was out of town. She did great! I came home to happy well fed pups and a clean house. I would definitely recommend her and will be happy to have her take care of them again.
