Dog Boarding in Grottoes

Brandy took great care of our dog Pip while we attended my nieces graduation at JMU. She even sent updates and photos. I highly recommend her!

Alyssa and her husband were hands down the best rovers we have ever had. We have an extremely hyper active 1 year old puppy that they were able to tire out (this is no easy feat). We used them on vacation and are bummed they don't live closer because we would absolutely use them on a regular basis!

Danielle and her husband were awesome with our Hank. Great with communication and keeping us updated on how he was doing. They were very clearly animal lovers which made leaving our dog with them so much easier.

Our pet sitting experience with Deb was excellent! She was very responsive and on top of our booking. Deb sent us a photo & note to keep us updated. We came back to a very happy pup, who was clearly delighted with her boarding experience. We would not hesitate to book with Deb again and highly recommend her.

Tea took great care of my dog, Holler! She was very attentive, sent me updates, and kept him to his routine while staying with her. Thank you!

Kathryn is great! She has a nice yard, and her house is very clean. She also uses filtered water for Momo, which we really appreciate. She was very responsive, even when we had to pick him up very early. Momo was clean and well taken care of when we picked him up.

Hillary was super accommodating about changes to my booking due to my work schedule. She was prompt, thoughtful and courteous in all responses to my questions and requests and took good care of Nico.

Svitlana was so sweet with our new rescue. I felt like Skye was in great hands. Svitlana kept us informed of Skye’s day. We can highly recommend Svitlana!

Kara was great with our dog. Glacier was well cared for and we received daily updates and pictures. We Will definitely use her again in the future! Thank you Kara!!!

Jo was fantastic with Gizmo! She sent pictures throughout the stay, which I really appreciated. Gizmo came home happy and tired out from a great week—you could tell he had a blast. He got along well with Jo, Kayla, and Cricket, and it was clear he was well cared for the whole time. Highly recommend Jo for anyone looking for a sitter who treats your dog like part of the family!

I never left SmokeStack before and needed the ‘right-fit’ for his Rover adventure. Jani and her family provided a safe, secure and calm atmosphere for my sweet Smokestack. He assimilated into Jani’s house, and went to say goodbye to her before we departed.

We left our 1 year old golden (Pearl) with Joe for a week while we went on a family vacation. We did a meet and greet first and never worried once about pearl. We received updates on a regular basis, communication was amazing and Joe even watched her a bit longer than expected after some vehicle trouble on our way back home. The whole thing beginning to end was very professional, Joe is very kind and Pearl was spoiled while she was there. We have already agreed to use Joe again for a short trip We are taking in the fall. Jenesis was fantastic with our two pups. She even gave us a little gift when we picked them up, and they loved her and her dog a lot. We are very grateful to have gotten her as our sitter, and we would definitely recommend her again!

Paula does such a great job with our energetic pup, who is always happy to see her. This is her second stay and we know we can relax because she's well cared-for while we're away.

Hazzar was amazing it was a last minute thing for us to leave our baby and she was awesome very communicative with us she would send us videos of Mia and pictures and we were in constant communication felt very safe and just over all happy with her services. Definitely recommend her and if it’s ok with her we would love to keep her in mind for other times. She did an awesome job and communication was very very responsive and attentive.

My husband and I went on our first trip where we could not take out 1 1/2 year old boxer, Jake. He is the most high energy, playful, powerful, and excited dog we have ever owned. He can be unintentionally clumsy and rough trying to play with young children or frail elderly people. Same goes with small breed dogs, and senior dogs. For these reasons it was hard to find a good match for him. Cory works from home, has 2 older children and an easy going 3 year old mid sized sturdy dog named Zire. Zire is still young enough to be a playful match for Jake, but also old enough to know how to gently voice his opinion when enough is enough. Cory sent pictures each day of Jake and Zire taking fun Trail walks with him. Even some pictures of Jake checking out the family’s laid back cat. We are so pleased with how well everything worked out that we will definitely think of Cory’s home the next time we need a home away from home for Jake.

Aly is very pleasant and accommodating. She has a nice home with a big fenced backyard. I was happy with the environment in which we left our two dogs and felt confident that they were safe and happy at her home. Aly sent pictures several times showing our dogs with smiles on their faces. I am sure they were well taken care of while we were gone. I would recommend her without hesitation.

Bertie and family are such a blessing for me! This is the second visit for Athena at Bertie’s and the next one is already booked. Can’t say enough!

Riley took great care of Comet - she sent lots of pictures and we could see he was given lots of attention and enjoyed playing with all the toys in their house!
