Dog Boarding in Shawsville

Pebbles gets as excited to see Henry and Cheryle at their home as she does when she is returning to our home...so I think she really likes them!

I was dreading being parted from my constant companion, but even cute little dogs are not welcome at weddings! Once I met Samantha and her family, I knew that they absolutely know what they are doing and really care about dogs and other animals. My confidence was validated--Bernie settled in quickly and they sent me several pictures a day, including photos of him napping with his new friends. I'll be bringing him back in the near future!

My pup came home happy and tired. He was instantly comfortable with Shannon and her dog and I could tell from the photo updates that he was relaxed and happy. Thank you!

We really appreciate Richard and Kelly V. and their thoughtful care of our dog Mo. We were out of town for an extended trip, and Richard and Kelly shared updates at least weekly with us with a photo of Mo to let us know how he was doing. They were also very responsive whenever we reached out with a question or to check in. Mo returned to us in good health and very happy - he seems to have very much enjoyed hanging out with Richard and Kelly and the great walks they took him on in the woods! He loves being out on trails. :-D Thank you very much, Richard and Kelly!

Linda and David were great! We got pictures of Zena throughout the time she was there. She even at better there than she had a home. We would definitely use them again.

Angela did a great job taking care of our puppy this weekend. She was comfortable having him in her home, and she even took him on field trips to the dog park. She communicated well with us and sent pictures throughout the visit. We will definitely reach out to her in the future when we need someone to watch Gryffin.

Sydney is the absolute best pet sitter. My pups love going to her apartment. They get lots of attention and love while they are there. We will continue to schedule with her as long as she is available.

Buns loved her stay with Emily. She made some new friends, and had a great time running around and playing in her backyard. Emily was also great about sending updates and pictures. Buns would definitely stay with Emily again next time she is in Roanoke!

Carmen was very nice and accommodating to my uncertain timeframe. Communication was prompt and thorough. She took good care of my 2 energetic dogs.

McKenanne was absolutely wonderful! She was able to accommodate our last-minute booking request without any issues. Lily was clearly very well taken care of and looked so happy in all the pictures we received. Communication was excellent—we really appreciated the daily updates. Highly recommended, and we would definitely book with her again!

John was able to accommodate Pepperjack on a short notice, same day, booking. John's open space house is a perfect play area for pups. As someone with a dog with allergies, it was great to have John ask all the right questions for PJs well being dueing his stay. We appreciate the help and will definitely book again when needed.

Courtney & Kameron were great ... they sent lots of updates and pictures as Sam got settled in and continued to keep us updated with great communication! We appreciate them loving on him and being patient with his puppy-ness, and taking him on lots of walks even as the temps went way down during his stay :)

So kind and kept us up to date on our boys shenanigans. Fred was so happy when we picked him and I could tell he really liked being there with them.

Holly was absolutely fantastic! She did a great job at giving us updates regularly throughout the day. And our pup, Henri came back super happy. It was clear that he was well cared for and had a blast at the same time. We will definitely use Holly again in the future.

PHENOMENAL! We’d previously had a bad experience with Rover, so I was a bit worried to try another sitter at first. But boy am I glad we found Nancy! She treats the dogs she takes care of like her own. She sent pictures and kept me posted on how Lily was doing. I could see in the photos that Lily was loving life, which was so comforting and reassuring. I’d recommend Nancy to anyone who needs someone to take care of their dog. We will definitely be booking with her again!

If I could give more than 5 stars I would. We have had sitters come to our home before to take care of Ryker but we have never dropped him of any where. So I was nervous to say the least. Theresa was so kind, attentive, communicative, and inviting with my whole family and Ryker. She was patient with me when I stayed a little longer at drop off, she never made me feel rushed or unwanted. Ryker is a very hyper anxious dog in the beginning and she remained calm and reassuring that he would do great. She sent me pictures almost immediately after I got home showing me they were snuggled on the couch. We were going away to visit family and go to a wedding she sent updates and photos just the perfect amount of times in the day so I didn’t feel overwhelmed but still had a great sense of what he was doing and how he was doing. We came in late from our road trip and she couldn’t have been more understanding and kind about it. Driving home now and I know Ryker already misses her house. I will definitely use her in the future and highly recommend others to book her as well.

Marah is our go-to! She never fails to make life easier before planning a trip knowing she’d be there to watch Brew. Her response time and communication throughout his stay, receiving pictures/having check ins are so appreciated. Brew gets to play with all his friends and gets all the lovings every time he’s there, you won’t regret choosing Marah to love on yours!!
