Dog Boarding in Fort Ward

Carl and his wife Jamie were so great with my dog, Lucy. I was nervous leaving her for the first time, but they set my mind at ease with a “Meet and Greet” and then were so kind and understanding throughout the process. They treated my girl so wonderfully and sent the most delightful photos of her enjoying her vacation! Highly recommend.

Kevin able to accommodate our dog Lulu on very short notice, and was happy to meet with him the day that I reached out. Lulu felt at comfortable with Kevin right off the bat, and Kevin took great care of Lulu, who is a senior dog. He was able to accommodate his diet and walking needs without hesitation, and sent us a lot of pics!

Rachael was so kind to take our little Hugo for a last-minute stay. She was communicative and flexible and took great care of our pup. We would definitely have Rachael take care of Hugo again!

Steven and Rachel are a beautiful family, and will take amazing care of your dog. I am so grateful that they took our dog Bowser at the last minute. Although he was not on his best behavior the entire time, they fiercely loved him, and gave him the utmost care. I was greatly impressed with their communication, professionalism, and most of all, their love and compassion for our dog. These are absolutely wonderful people, and I would not hesitate to book with them again.

We can always count on Melissa and Alan to give Pixel a lot of attention, walks, and love. They are wonderful hosts for him, and whenever we get pixel back, he is always tired and happy.

When I first met Maria it was like visiting an old friend. I got the best feeling from her and her lovely home. Everything was clean and geared towards the dogs-lots of dog beds, comfy rugs and a big mattress on the floor for a big cozy cuddle puddle. My little Bode likes to be alone sometimes and Maria put his bed in bathroom cause that’s where he liked hanging out and was most comfortable. Maria was sensitive to his needs. Such personalized treatment! Being a senior dog, my Bode isn’t good at stairs so Maria carried him up and down stairs for the many yard/pee times. These things are really huge to me and for my guy, who in the last 10+ years had previously only been away from home for just a weekend. Now a week!? No worries. Maria treats all the dogs like they are her own. I got so many pictures and videos it was so comforting to see him eating, sleeping, walking around, like it was his own home. The next time I have to go out of town I will definitely feel comfortable leaving my little guy at the ‘senior center’ with Maria. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!

Shamaeka took great care of Bowie! He had a blast playing with her dog and got lots of walks! She did an amazing job of sending lots of updates and videos! We would definitely have Shamaeka watch Bowie again!

Pixel absolutely loved his stay at Ruslana’s. She was great at communicating and sent us lots of pictures. Pix was a little unwell initially and she made sure he got better and took great care of him. I will highly recommend them as Pix enjoyed his stay. We would definitely re-book for any future trips. Tomas is attentive and communicative during my dog's stay. He was also very flexible with pick up and drop off time. My very shy Kiwi warmed up fast thanks to Tomas' patience and his sweet pup. I will be sure to book him again in the future. Thank you so much!

Our puppy’s stay was great, I felt so comfortable leaving her behind and we picked her up as a happy and content as we dropped her off! Thank you so much, if I lived in the area we would absolutely use Kayla and Jacob again!

Cathleen is wonderful! She sent daily updates and lots of photos and I could tell my pup was happy and tired when we returned. I recommend Cathleen to anyone!

First time on Rover and we hit the jackpot! Alisha took fabulous care of our dog, folding her into her family with lots of affection. We will definitely ask her to care for our dog again.

Jessica was one of the best sitters I’ve ever used. She sent photos and videos from start to finish with little updates. I get really nervous leaving my pup with new people and she had me at ease immediately.

Our puppy Franklin had the best time with Matt. This was our first time using Rover so we were nervous, but Matt’s continuous updates made us feel he was in good hands. Major bonus was the dog playtime he received, which seemed to go on all day every day. We will be using Matt again in the future.

Devan was amazing and took excellent care of my dog Oliver. He took him on many walks during his stay and kept me updated the entire time with amazing photos. I would strongly recommend Devan to anyone looking for a dedicated and trustworthy sitter!

This was our first experience with boarding. Until now, our sweet Luna has always been with us. We were nervous at first, but we got lucky with Celia’s family! Luna loved them and their doggie. We felt safe leaving Luna with them. One of the most important factors for us is communication. Celia always answered back quickly with pictures and details. We appreciated that a lot! It made us feel so comfortable:) An easy way to tell if Luna is stressing is whether or not she eats her food. She won’t eat if she is sad or uncomfortable. She ate all her food while she was there. It means a lot to us:) Luna came back home happy, healthy, and energetic:) We are so happy with our experience with Celia’s family.. totally recommend! You won’t regret it...and your time far away from your furry friend will be peaceful:) We know who to text next time;)

He was super knowledgeable about dogs. He knew how to handle Duke as he’s super anxious.
