Cat Sitting in Lamberts Corner

Ari was the best! Ari looked after our two cats over the thanksgiving holiday. We weren’t sure how the cats were going to react to a pet sitter, and Ari did a great job making sure all their needs were met and more.

We are sooo grateful for Becky! We have a kitty (Milo) with recent medical issues and Becky was able to help last minute and give Milo his meds and spent some time with both of our cats each day while we were away. Thank you so much Becky!!

Jerrie is absolutely amazing and our cats did not hide from her. We were worried they would hide and stop eating but they did great. Jerrie always updated us and sent pictures. We will be working with Jerrie again. I cannot recommend her enough!

Maggie checked all boxes to make you feel comfortable leaving your fur and feather babies! She responded promptly and took great care in leaving thoughtful and detailed “report cards” for checkins. Upon returning the kittens and chickens were so happy and at ease. The house was also very clean. Highly recommend Maggie :)

Annmarie did a great job he texted twice a day sent pictures, when we got home the babies were in extremely good attitudes. They were certainly missed ever so glad to have her as our new sitter which we will be calling her again thank you so much Ann Marie you're awesome

Johanna was so attentive to my anxious little guy, taking the extra time and care to experiment with different ways to coax him to eat his less preferred soft foods after his oral surgery. She kept everything clean and tidy for me, was responsive and even proactive, and provided detailed updates twice a day as I requested. She even left a thoughtful hand written note for us when I got home about her stay, it was really special and I feel lucky to have found her on here. Big thank you Johanna, and highly recommend!

Angela was fantastic. Even though my cats are shy, she was dedicated to finding them and sending me updates each day, often with a great sense of humor. I felt good knowing my girls were in her hands while I was gone. Would recommend and will be using her again.

Lauren is amazing! She was very communicative throughout our cats stay, especially when one cat was feeling unwell. 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking for a pet sitter!

My husband and I had planned and booked a 2 week bucket list trip to Peru and were set to leave in 7 weeks. We had arranged our normal pet sitter that we’ve used for years to come and take care of our (almost) 15 year old cat, Mr. Christmas. It was around that time that Mr. Christmas stopped eating. Mr. Christmas had no real health conditions, no meds…and he was declining fast. After extensive testing, imaging, and seeing a specialist, he was diagnosed with either IBD or cancer and was going to need a lot of follow up. He was on multiple oral medications and he still wasn’t eating great. I couldn’t leave him in the house with someone who can only come see him once a day. He needed more support and our normal pet sitter couldn’t provide that for him. I was fully prepared to cancel the trip, but thought I’d go on Rover to see if anyone could match what we were looking for and if anyone would be willing to do what we were asking. We needed three, hour-long visits daily, forcing food at him, weighing him, and administering multiple daily medications. I found Melanie explaining what I was looking for, and I was really impressed that she was up early at 4:30am to message me. Melanie communicated with me each week leading up to our trip. We initially didn’t have a diagnosis and I needed vet clearance to leave him. Melanie asked many questions, and when we finally were told that he was stable enough to leave, she came over to our house with a list of questions to go over with us. He’s got a bit…a lot…of an attitude. She made sure that she didn’t approach him and waited for him to come to her. She was so thoughtful about every detail of their interaction in front of us. My husband and I both felt that even though she is a stranger to us, there was something calming about her and she was very professional. We knew Mr. Christmas would be okay, but I wasn’t expecting him to thrive the way that he did. Melanie never missed a visit. She never asked for anything from me. She communicated with me daily throughout the two weeks. She braved picking him up to put him on the scale multiple times. Mr. Christmas gained weight with Melanie. He wasn’t gaining weight with me at home, but she is just that good. Pictures of Mr. Christmas started with him sleeping alone, and then he got closer and closer to her on the couch. He even started inviting her to watch him in the litter box (I’m mortified), but he only does this with “his people”. Our dog came to visit at home a few days to see Mr. Christmas (they are besties), and Melanie had no problem cuddling our dog while visiting Mr. Christmas. To describe Melanie in one or two words, I would say she is easygoing and pays great attention to detail. She makes everything seem easy and carefree, and my anxiety really appreciated that on this trip. I got home from 15 days away from him, and he is this thick ball of fluffy happiness. He was WELL taken care of. We could have never gone on this trip without Melanie. She is a true gem and I will be referring anyone and everyone I know to her. Ana went above and beyond watching our two boys. She gave them so much love and attention, and she did a bette thin cleaning the litter boxes then even we do. Highly recommend. She’s attentive, organized and we will be using her again!

Jennifer was very communicative, responded quickly to every question I had, and took good care of ny two cats, especially since they were apparently very shy at first, but then got cuddly once they were used to her. She got extra cat food, as I had miscalculated. The house was spotless when I got home. I am very grateful to her!

Karen is wonderful! I always get anxious leaving our two cats, but she did great with them! She always kept me in the loop while I was away. We would love to book with her again in the future, if she’ll have us :)
