Dog Boarding in Waukon

We left our 2 dogs with Sarah over a long weekend. It was the first time they have ever been boarded, and we were a little apprehensive that Keira, our skittish and high strung Bernedoodle, would be a problem. Sarah and family were patient and took the extra time to build a bond with them. She sent frequent updates and photos while we were gone, and both dogs came home healthy and happy. I can’t recommend Sarah enough. It is a great relief to know we have someone we feel comfortable leaving our dogs with.

Addy had a great stay with Leslie. I will definitely be reaching back out to Leslie next time I need somewhere for Addy to stay when I go out of town. I appreciated the daily updates with photos.

Alisha did a wonderful job with Tofu! He was super happy and energetic when he came home which is not typical as he gets very anxious with new people. She went above and beyond to make Tofu comfortable. I also received many adorable pictures and videos during the entire stay. Thank you so much 💕

Lynda is the absolute best! My son’s dog is a complete snuggle bug and dependent on ALOT of attention. He had an amazing stay and was so happy to see us but sad to say bye to Lynda. The picture update and quick responses eased his mind as this was the first big vacation away from his dog. I recommend Lynda 10000%

We’re so happy to have found Laura and Robert! ❤️ This was Arya’s first time staying with them, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We left her with them for a week, and they made her feel right at home, making sure all her needs were met and giving her so much love and care. It gave us such peace of mind knowing she was in safe, loving hands while we were away. 🐶💕 We’re truly grateful to have found people we can trust with our fur baby whenever we need to travel. Highly recommend Laura and Robert to anyone looking for caring, reliable dog sitters!

This was a last-minute booking. Phillip has a gentle, kind demeanor, was responsive, and took great care of Alfie. He was communicative and shared updates. I think Alfie felt welcomed! I would highly recommend.

Taylor and Evan were amazing. We felt very comfortable leaving our girls with them - they made sure they had all the info needed to take best care of our pups and make them feel at home. They are super easy to talk to and work with! We got updates during the week, and most importantly, our dogs were obviously very well taken care of. They came home well behaved and happy. We can't wait to use them again!!

Taylor was quick to respond. Very professional and communicative. Nelli had a great time and since she was a puppy, took the time to carefully introduce her to dogs and the new situation. Made our first time away from each other comfortable.

Cheryl is great. She sent tons of pictures. She has so much experience, I felt confident she could handle any problems. Bella had a great time with the gang!

Louise is such a blessing to our family! She takes the best care of Scout and gives us so much comfort knowing he is well cared for. He looked better when I picked him up because Louise takes the time to brush him! He loves it and we thank her!

What a wonderful and kind dogsitter! Her fees are very reasonable, she followed care instructions, exercised our dogs and most importantly gave them lots of love. Her 2 young children have been taught how to behave with dogs and moved slowly around them and approached cautiously to let the dogs get to know them. Amanda has a great fenced backyard for them to play in and walked them to a nearby park. She sent us pictures everyday! We will definitely use her again!! Thank you so much Amanda for easing our anxieties about leaving our pups. They were in great hands!!

Sierra is so awesome, she watched our sweet boy for an entire week and I was able to relax and not worry because she took such amazing care of him. I received lots of pictures and updates on how he was doing. I will definitely have her watch him again in the future.

Chantel was great. Took great care of my 2 girls and provided lots of cute pictures and videos of their day. Will definitely book with her again for future needs.

Hannah was wonderful with our dog. While boarding him for 4 days she sent daily photos and videos, and he always looked to be enjoying himself, playing with other dogs, exploring her fenced yard, or playing with toys. I'm afraid he'll be bored back at home now. Ha ha. Thank you Hannah!

Very kind and thoughtful! Made it easy for my husband to drop off and pick up our dog; had no worries about him while we were away because of pictures and texts sent throughout the trip. Thank you!!!

Olivia communicated well and was responsive. She took good care of my pups! I would definitely have her watch them again.

Mandie did a fantastic job caring for our dog Sam while we were on vacation! Over the past 27 years we have never had to leave any of our fury family members in a kennel or in someone else's care other than with grandparents. We were very anxious however recently learned about Rover as a different option. Mandie was very transparent through the whole process and met with us and Sam prior to his stay with her to make sure everything was a good fit. We also chose to have Sam stay for a couple of day visits so he could get used to his new surroundings prior to our 10 day trip. Sam is used to my husband and I working from home and is very loving and active so Mandie's home was a perfect fit for him as she does Rover full time, and he was surrounded by her own 3 larger dogs so he could play with them all day. We never worried about Sam while we were away and Mandie sent us a text and pictures of him each day we were gone which was very comforting. She is very caring, clearly loves animals, and enjoys what she does. We have zero hesitancy having Sam stay with Mandie and her family again sometime. The Rover experience was very professional and we felt Sam was well taken care of while we were away, and was constantly stimulated being around his new fury playmates and going on walks. (We think he may want us to buy him a new brother now however after all of his playtime over the past several days). We'll certainly be requesting Mandie again sometime in the near future.
